He didn't no, hearing that he is due to meet the team in Tenerife straight from Colombia as opposed to flying back to Glasgow first.

Was he not back home in Colombia. He's maybe flying from there.

Maybe he's coming over from Columbia?

He was in Colombia, so would make more sense to fly from there. Mark Allen has said that he is going nowhere in January. It is odd that SG has recalled Hardie though, but he could just be wanting as many options as possible for the second half of the season and maybe thinks Hardie will learn more from Defoe now.

scottyger, he merely wants to properly assess Hardies over the period to see how he has come on during his loan spell before making a decision on his future. There's absolutely nothing else in this.

Morelos has apparently been given extended leave by SG.

He got held back at the check in because one of his suitcases was overweight. They found Boyata inside a pair of his shorts.

For me Hardie coming back is 1 of 3 things.
(1) He wants to take him on the Camp to let him know he’s a part of his future plans giving him a little boost and to assess him up close before deciding if he is going to allow him to return on loan to Livvy or anywhere else.
(2) Rather than trying to buy another number 10 when we have Arfield and Dorrans as back up if required it’s likely that we will play with 2 up top on occasion and Gerrard wants to have 4 strikers as he likes a replacement for every player.
(3) Alfredo will be sold
Personally I think it’s option 2 after exploring option 1 initially.

Hardies loan has finished main reason why he is back with the team also gives SG a good look at him can’t be any worse then Kyle L.

Personally I'd go 2 up top in most games but the gaffer has shown a preference for 2 wide players, and expects them to drop back and protect their full back. I think you'll only see 2 up top when were struggling to break a team down that doesn't want to come out. He has already said young Ryan won't be brought back to warm the bench and let's face it does anybody see him starting. I'm pretty sure he's in the reef to make him feel he's in the gaffer's plans and get a good look at how he's progressed. Remember when he goes back to Livvy he will be playing against all our closest rivals and maybe that's where he can be of most use to us right now. Mark Allen has said Alfie is going nowhere this window but I think we all know if daft money is offered say 15m or more he will be off. there have been some rumours of big bids which have him staying the rest of the season. Personally I hope he stays at least until the summer but I'd be lying if I said his disciplinary record doesn't concern me, particularly after this week. All eyes will be on his every move now - if they weren't before. He has to start getting cuter and not react every time he feels cheated, we know he's getting wound up, probably nipped and all sorts off the ball. I'm hoping he can learn from Defoe, who's probably seen it all. If this kid screws the nut we could get 20m in the summer for him because there just aren't that many guys around who stick the ball in the net with that regularity.

Awarded an extra day off by the manager, for the amount of running around he does.
Flys out to Tenerife a day later.
