With Fredo now out I know he hasn't set the heather on fire but this could be the break Lafferty has been waiting for this is the chance for SG to try and play 2 up front McCoist / Hately style one of them small to get the ball on the deck and the taller target man to deal with balls on the air. but he will have to go out heart and soul and take this chance that's been presented to him but then of course the gaffer has changed the shape of the team before and it hasn't worked so height be reluctant to try it in the cup game in case it doesn't work and we go out the cup.

When he was with us previously Lafferty would hardly kick a ball until from this point of the season onwards. Let's hope thia continues. With an able deputy keeper ans another class striker i think we will be fine.

Totally agree to playing 2 up top and would like to see us go 352.Think it would help us create more chances especially now we have Defoe to help Alfredo up top. Would be a bit worried going 442 as it would could leave us a bit light in middle of the park. Saying that apart from Celtic we really should be outplaying every other side in the league with the players we have.

Lafferty is dead weight an anchor at best I said so before we aquired no change.

We don't need 3 centre halfs against most teams. It would effectively leave us a man short in the middle or up front. Roughly speaking our attacking formation is 2 1 7, in defence 4 1 4 1. We would also have to drop one of the more skilful players to accommodate an extra CH. Considering breaking diddy teams down is an onerous task the more skilled footballers on the pitch the better.

Currently we have only 2 centre halfs. Worrall doesn't dir that description.
