Is anyone else a little concerned about the amount of loan deals? Rumour has it Hastie will be going out on loan Middleton is away already, I don’t know much about Ojo but surely we should be trying to bring our own young players on, we had docherty and holt out on loan last year both could have done better that coulabaly and Ejaria. Kent is a very good player but we should be signing the likes of him for 3-4m max I hate how people are saying he’s a £10-12m player 6goals and 9 assists in 40 odd spl games isn’t amazing, but building Liverpool players up so they can sell them to the highest bidder is not great for us unless we start getting 10% selling on fee?.

He’s far more important than just that because just because you don’t make the final pass doesn’t mean you aren’t involved in the move for the goal which I can guarantee Kent has been involved in more than 15 times as you put it. So he’s barely worth more than Grezda is what your saying, come on.

Yes i'm in total agreement with Rick Witter here. Ryan kent has been involved in a lot of our goals, before the final assist. Everything is not all clear on stats.

Hey Rick, I’m not sure why you’re trying to compare Kent and grezda? I said that for me we should be trying to sign Kent for 3-4m I think he’s a good wee player but let’s face it he’s shot shy gets in great positions but there’s not a lot of end product that’s the reason for my valuation but he’s young and without doubt talented, but nobody is realistically going to pay 12m right now and that is why we will get him back this year improve him again and this time next year he’ll be away somewhere else for the money being touted about just now. As for Grezda I’ve seen as much as you have mate, he’s dug meat and doesn’t belong in a conversation with Kent and I think we’ll be lucky to get back 20% of the 2m we paid for him? Out of curiosity how much do you think Kent is worth based on last season?

Highland Bear, it’s all good saying we should be trying to sign Kent for 3-4m but unfortunately it’s not us that decide his price. When teams like a newly promoted Villa are floating around for whom £10-12m is pocket change then there’s no chance of getting him for £3-4m, these are the prices these type of players go for.

As for being concerned about loan deals then as long as they improve our team and help us get a result then no. In the case of Ryan Kent everybody is a winner, we get a great player from a market we cannot compete in, Liverpool increase the value of an asset and the player gets some of the best experiences in football and develops as a player.

To mention using someone like holt over loaning Ejaria is absurd, I love holt and his passion for the jersey but he’s limited in his ability and to be honest I’d rather have someone with the ability of Ejaria for half a season than Holt for a full. just wish Ejaria had more bottle. You do have a great point with Docherty and Coulibaly though and I hope to see more of Docherty next season.

It is still too early to say whether Kent is coming back. Klopp wants to have a look at him in pre season and they will accept any bids north of £10mill. There is no incentive on Liverpool for him to sign up now.

Fernando ricksen loyal what are you smoking I thought Rick Witter was out there comparing grezda with Kent but you’ve taken it to a whole other level Kyle Walker is a full England international with maybe 200 pl games under his belt and you compare him with Ryan Kent and ask if I’m mental grow a brain man. Kent has had a pretty decent season with us and I’d love to have him back but nobody will pay 10m+ for a player that’s had one decent season in Scotland and I’ll eat my words if someone does but these prices are all pie in the sky from agents and media it’s not a genuine valuation.

My point was regardless of how poor he’s been Grezda still cost £2m yet you reckon Kent is only worth paying an extra £1m-£2m for. Incidentally I reckon he’s worth between £6m-£8m right now but will definitely be worth an extra couple of million on top of that come the end of the season if he has another good one with us.

Rick while I respect your opinion you can’t value someone of the back of how much another useless player cost, I based my valuation on the fact he’s young, exciting and on his performance for us last season witch was good, I would say David Turnbull was just as good maybe better albeit a different type of player and he’s going for 3m.
