Would be a terrible idea.

A fit Andy Carroll would score for fun up here. I'd take him if his wages were reasonable.

A fit Andy carroll would demolish defences up here. One of the best headers of a ball i've seen. Big duncan fergusonesque! Big carroll is unplayable in the air, simple as that.

If the financial package isn’t too steep and is comparable with what Lafferty was getting then it’s a great upgrade. Would give us that opportunity to play 2 up with the big man and Defoe or Morelos in certain games.
Injury record and wage demands are obviously a worry but a pay as you play or basic wage demand not exceeding £20k per week would be a great deal for us.

No thanks. The man is injury-prone.

SGL I can see where you are coming from re a Fit Andy Carroll, But that is the problem He is very rarely Fit, I said NAW about Carroll coming to Rangers on another thread, But maybe a Pay per Play deal could be reached, If Rangers are supposed to be interested in Him, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺.

It won’t happen. Don’t want him hear he’s average to say the least.

The reality is would he be willing to take a massive pay cut from his rumoured £90+k a week west ham salary? Doubtful, simple as that Coop.

He is currently on £0 a week though
I can’t see many clubs knocking the door down to sign him either.
So maybe a pay as you play deal might not be a bad deal for both parties.
A fit Andy Carroll would terrorise SPL defences but that is the question would he be able to stay fit for long enough to do it.

Aye because big dunc scored a lot for us right enough!

A fit Carroll would be an asset. but there lies the issue. pay per play contract?

Rick Witter , Big duncan ferguson didn't score a lot for us as he couldn't get into the team for big mark hateley and rightly so. He wasn't prepared to wait and learn under hateley, so off he went to everton on loan, which trurned into a permanent deal. Those are the hard, cold facts mate.

Not quite all the facts Coop. Big dunc was thrown under the bus by the SFA and the polis. I liked him.

Why do so many people mention pay as you play deals on here? . It was the same with Sturridge. The last time I heard of a pay as you play was Craig Gordon (not even sure if right with this) and the guy had come out of a forced early retirement. Someone like Andy Carrol could most likely still get a contract from a lowly Prem team, if not, then Championship or even League 1. he’s above that level but I’m just meaning even a good few league 1 teams could offer a fantastic wage and that’s before you think of MLS, China and the Middle East. My point is these guys prob won’t ever need to consider a pay as you play deal when they can get contracts on great wages somewhere in the world so I personally don’t think pay as you play deals are worth speculating about.
