Jamie Murphy away to Burton Albion on loan. Shame I always liked him. Squad definitely needed thinning though.

Should have loaned him to another SPL side though.

I like him but he's now nowhere near the side just sell him same as all other guys going out on loan. Just get them off wage bill and sell them.

I’m sure if we could receive a decent fee a lot of these guys would be sold. The younger players ie Middleton need games before knowing if they are anywhere near making the grade so would be hasty to allow them to go for peanuts if they turn out to be good at our level for other club.
I agree with poster who says ideally we would loan them out to other Premiership club so we can get good look at them, also let’s us know if they are capable in our league with a run of games with the added bonus they can play against that mob but not us.
This deal in particular I do find strange and felt he could play at bottom half Eng Championship team at least but if Burton are paying big portion of wages then it’s a no brainer to get him out playing.

Murphy was s good signing and did a great job prior to his injury. Hope he comes good on his loan period and gets chance to resurrect career.

Mikeger, maybe another SPL club didn't want him, maybe he didn't want to go to another SPL club, maybe this was the best deal for the player and the club, maybe our management team know what they're doing?

I agree paul, sell them as they won't ever be good enough and the wages could be better spent👍.

Coldo exactly. Murphy, grezda, herrera, docherty, polster, firth, alnwick, halliday, could all leave with no bearing on the squad.

Linking up with previous manager. Think with murphy it's all about game time out of the spotlight of everything rangers.

Disagree loaning him to an spfl club. The plastic pitches caused his injury in the first place so no!

Murphy is better than Barker, Ojo or Jones. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him back next season if he has a good loan spell. We just couldn’t give him the games to get his fitness up, too much at stake. Agree about letting the rest go, with the possible exception of Docherty. Would be giving him the second half of the season on loan in the Championship in England to see how he handles that level, as he tore up League One. He’s not had a chance this season purely because the midfield has been so good. There’s no shame in that though, Andy King had played in a Euros and had an EPL winners medal and couldn’t shift the midfield lads despite the manager saying he was a pleasure to have around.
