I get all your points guys, but this guy hasn't even played for the first team?
We've had all these coaches working on Development squads for 2 years now- I honestly don't know who is playing left back for these teams but if they are not ready to step up after 2 years, then why are they there?

BAR72, maybe because in two years they've went from 15 years old to 17 and are still wee boys learning? They are getting stronger all the time but not all will make it. One lad who has already played for the first team, Paterson, was ripped apart in a European youth game by a 17 year old winger, so there's a way to go yet.
Remember, 'all these coaches' came into a devastated, decrepit set-up and were working from years behind all the others. Show some patience, man, two years is nothing in this respect. We've had to raid English clubs just to fill in the huge gaps at 16-19 and to be able to field youth teams. Our intakes in the past two years is where the future lies and these, for the most part, will take at least another two years to prepare and develop for top class professional football.

Everything I hear about this lad is good and I have a feeling he will play more that we think. As for our youth team, from what I have seen the good young players, with few exceptions, are still only 16, 17 or one or two 18 year olds. Our youth set up has only just started to develop in the last two or three years.

Bar 72 I have seen multiple academy games in last four years, believe me we were very poor.
When gerrard first arrived we started to send out more players ie Hardie, Dallas, Mitchell to name three could not get games at Annan, Cambridge etc, yet people on here want them in first team.
I remember Gordon Daziel talking about our youth when we were in bottom tier or third tier he said none off them would be good enough to play in top league. Guys on here slaughtered him, he named, Mitchell, aides Wilson, Crawford, aird McKay among many, not one plays regularly at a decent level.
We have seen a major revamp and some potential for the future, however very few if any are ready for first team.
The fact we buy lad from liecster and looking at another shows we still need to work harder.

John the gap is coming down tho, I mean our 1st season in the top flight the gap was between 36-40 now as you say its 18-21 but none of them were good enough.

We realistically need 1 or two a year making the match day squad regularly. We have had teams going to international youth tournaments and doing really well how they transition is key think in Scotland it's something wer'e really bad at. Hard balance to make when chasing points every week would personally blood some in the league cup or whatever it's called these days.
As for CB what's the difference between him and Kent when he arrived ejaria or ojo he'll get playing time in the first team.
