Ojo Mark 2
No thanks we need strikers who will die for the shirt on their back.

Oh aye nicedayforawalk? Which strikers have you in mind?

I think we need to get away from just trying to sign players who are rangers men or so called die hard rangers fan. We just need to sign players who will improve our squad. If they support Leyton Orient or Leeds, or whoever I don't care. As long as they want to play for rangers and give there best then I will support them as long as they wear a rangers shirt.

I'd rather stay away from loaning Liverpool players now. It's as if Gerrard feels compelled to play them even when they're not performing. That Ejaria blouse gave me cold sweats! Ojo wasn't much better. Kent was excellent but in hindsight it looks like we've overpaid to bring him in permanently but i'm sure he'll come good. If we want a top striker we are going to have to get the chequebook out.

Nicedayforawalk please don’t talk rubbish Brewster is a different level from Ojo .

To be honest I think what's holding us back is the lack of experience at certain parts of the season. I think we need to strike a better balance between having young promising players that will make us money and players who have enough experience to come in, hit the ground running and have the mentality required to win the league. If I had to go more one way, for this season I'd definitely say more experience than youth is required.

Brewster is held in high regard down south. He is viewed as one of the best up and coming strikers in his age group . He has played and coped well in English championship scoring 4 in 11 for Swansea. I would say the championship is of way higher standard than that of the SPL. Yet again there are the same people that see young liverpool loan and just assume the boy is a favour and not a talent. I have saw the boy play and he looks a better option than the guys we are being linked with. We need to trust our scouts. I know ojo didn't work out but the boy had talent, that goal proved it. Same with ejaria also talented.

I think we should forget Gerrard’s Liverpool connections they’ve given us next to nothing. Kent is a half decent player but they pulled our pants down on that deal we’ve just paid good wages for poor players like Ojo, Ejaria and the signing of Flanagan. They’ll never send the Harry Wilson’s or that up here so just drop the whole Liverpool thing and look for better more experienced players.

So you’d rather a try hard player than an actual talent. basically an Andy Halliday? Will die for the shirt but not much footballing ability there. I’m not saying go for Brewster, he seems a good prospect but we need someone who’s the finished article or not far from it and that’s if Alfie leaves. In the current climate I can see it being mostly Bosmans or loans unless we ship someone out first.

Just can’t get my head round why we don’t go get Dykes. Young, strong, fast, would cost buttons, could only make money on him and plus he’s terrorised ya and them this season. Really don’t see what we have to lose.

bellshilllad83 Ojo and Ejaria are obviously talented lads but they weren't suited to the game here and that was obvious from the start. We don't have room for passengers at our club especially this season. I'm not saying that Brewster boy isn't a talent, i'm saying that if we want to stop the soap dodgers then we are going to need a hell of a lot more than a young Liverpool loanee with zero experience.

Highlandbear I agree our obsession with Liverpool second string isn't a balanced deal Kent deal for me wasn't great. I think we should be going for players who are proven is Mirko Maric he's been mentioned on here a few times. I would be looking at investment in players like him with the euros and world cup round the corner.

LMRFC, its not a case of either we sign young promising players or a player at the level of Andy Halliday. You make it sound like it's one or the other. There is a higher quality of player available to us than him but with more experience than a youngster. I'd be looking at other european markets for good players as I think if we continue to look at the English premier league then we will only get players that are looking to learn their trade as opposed to win trophies.

LMRFC I’m not saying anything of the sort, we have plenty good players but none of them are in the ilk of a Barry Ferguson ie taking a game by the scruff of the neck and even a player if need be, our guys flap their arms and shake their head when teammates aren’t doing their bit we need a leader in midfield and also at CB these for me are the two most important areas to strengthen.

Brewster would in my opinion come into our league as the 3rd best overall forward behind alfie and edouard. This boy is a future talent but is good enough for us and our league just now. He is a goalscorer and a talented one. Get him in with alfie and defoe and we would have 3 class striking options. Would also take the boy dykes from livi as I think he would complete our strikeforce and give us the plan B we have been missing. They 2 a back up at RB ( boy from Leicester) and a winger or 2 to push kent and hagi and we would be sorted.

I don't think any of these young up and coming Academy players from England actually get coached in getting their erkies handed to them on a plate every week, our game must come as a shock to them.

Nice day
Think your missing any players objectives. All fhis dying for Jersey bit OTT and totally out of date. Any player knows it's in his best interests to play to best of abilìty otherwise hell be binned sharpish.

Theres absolutely no doubt the lad is talented but i just don't see the physical side being dealt with and i don't think we could afford to buy him do why bring him in to temporarily fill a gap we've had for 2 seasons now.

What we really need is three Terry Hurlock/ John Brown types- physical bullies who have a bit of personality and will pull the team up when the nerves set in. Too many times if we don’t score in the first 20 minutes you can see we run out of ideas and other teams hit us on the break. Andy Halliday- I’d have kept him as when it’s not going our way he gives 110% and reminds those around him of what is to be Rangers. Rhian Brewster may well be a good young player but he needs to be strong and believe. I personally think we okay up front if we keep Morelos. Defoe is a defo- he’s capable of a hattrick in 20 mins and shows his class. We need stronger players behind these guys. And someone to stamp on Scott Browns face!
