Dykes ain't signing guys - I just spoke to his agent close family friend who met Ross Wilson last wk we've no interest in Dykes at all

More than likely he'll go down south

Happy to come back on and be shot down if this happens but it won't.

I think Lyle Taylor and Kemar Roofe will be brought in.

Trev7 I don't often divulge stuff said to me, but last night I had a bite to eat and a beer at the home of a former professional goalkeeper, now a coach, who said the same thing in the course of the conversation. I was happy to hear it.
He also told me that his old pal Greegs was actually instrumental in us signing McLaughlin. It seems McGregor was consulted and agreed it was a good move because we needed better back up as he was now beginning to feel the onset of arthritis and his reflexes weren't quite as sharp.
He said McLaughlin was a guy who quietly went about his business and was a solid keeper who spent most of his time under the radar but now hopes to have the chance to shine in the next two years. He also said a lot more, but that's between him and me!

SoS1872, why do you think that?

Good shout. Geegs really snookered with arthritis.

fair play covenanter - Mclaughlin might be an under the radar signing, but sometimes they are the best

this guys also Tavs agent and a few other well known players from SPL but Dykes rumours are B/ S so he ain’t coming unless there a huge change of heart from us.

Think McLaughlin will be a good back up but not as good as big Wes. Maybe he is in less of a wage or maybe big Wes wanted first team football?

I posted this last week that Rangers will not be signing Dykes. Just my opinion though and I'm sticking to it.

If McLaughlan not better than Wes we have a problem. Believe he is much better than Wes and will be first pick keeper this season.

Conenanter and Trev no7 I’m not suggesting you’re ill informed but I’ve heard quite the opposite, I’ve heard there will be an offer for dykes middle of next week and also Lewis Ferguson at a later date I’m led to believe that these are the only 2 players we’re looking at from Scotland.

Covenanter, did your mate provide an update on McLean by any chance?

Bankie we have lots of problems with this team - where do you want me to start?

No back up in the full back positions, no settled central defensive partnership after 2 years of SG, a winger/ forward in Kent that doesn’t create or score enough goals, no natural right winger And all of our goals coming from a player who acts like he doesn’t want to be here and spends as much time suspended as he does on the pitch.

Why was Ross Wilson meeting with his agent then if we aren't interested.

Zikos, "No back up in the full back positions" you say, Bassey was signed as back up for a full back position, or were you on holiday when this was announced.

The boy is a prospect nothing more! Has he even played a competitive match?

Not to say the boy won’t be a talent but let’s face it he probably won’t. When you look at the players we have had on loan recently. They all came with much bigger reputations than Bassey and every single one of them failed.

Therefore we need to be signing first team ready players and let players like Bassey make up the numbers this season and fingers crossed he will turn out good but I wouldn’t be betting on it this season.
