Only passing on what i've just been told by a rangers supporting very good friend of mine, which i'll share with you guys on here,
like i always do. He told me that our current left back borna barisic is very likely to be leaving rangers for roma, in an £8.5million deal. He also told me that there's serious interest in barisic from 2 english premier league clubs and one each from spain and germany. It was funny when he told me this as i had heard earlier this morning that rangers were interested in signing watford left back adam masina and as we've already signed leicester city young left back calvin bassey, it would suggest to me that we won't keep 3 left full backs and his info looks like it could very much be a goer. That would leave, if we did sign masina, him and bassey fighting it out for our left back position 🤔
Very interesting and time will tell. It certainly wouldn't surprise me one little bit, if we did sell borna. I think the croatian is a cracking left back, who's deliveries are exceptional,
with an absolute wand of a left peg! 👌.

Don’t think we would sell for £8.5 for Croatia’s first choice left back, maybe closer to £12-15m given his improvement in league, Europe and for country.
Would we spend around £5 for Watford’s first choice, as this is what we would need to pay for a left back? Lot of money which we wouldn’t likely get back.

Still good to hear gossip and rumours saves me reloading google every hour waiting on Souness 😆.

If we are being forced to sell Croatia’s first choice LB and it’s to EPL - it will have to be helluva a lot more than 8m

i’d ask 15m+ I don’t care what he’s worth he’s on a long term contact so he’s worth whatever billionaires from EPL are prepared to pay and if you don’t ask you don’t get

same with fredo - folk saying 10m. for the top scorer in EL folk need to get real - mega rich clubs want our key players who are under long contracts they need to cough up crazy money

Same with barisic, EPL want him, they pay the going rate, for an experienced International with European football experience, they seem willing to pay it everywhere else.

His age goes against him. If he’s 20/ 21 he’s worth upwards of 20 mill but he’s 27, so puts his value down slightly unfortunately.

Why are rangers so bad at getting decent fees for players? £8.5 million for Croatia's LB, while KT who hasn't played many games whatsoever for Arsenal cause they signed him injured and Celtic still managed to get £25 million for him. Beggars belief if true.

SGL I have heard similar rumour but the figure was 8.5 million up front with another 2 million in staggered payments and further 1 million should he reach a certain amount of games with 10% sell on. So possible 11.5 mil with 10% sell on. Heard LB wise we would be looking at the lad from Watford you mentioned, max lowe from derby or a third the guy didn't know.
The guy also told me that should tav be sold Wilson has suggested a youngster from Southampton valerie I think with the young lad from Leicester we have made move for on bosman if tav moves or not. He will be replacing polster who the guy thinks is returning back to the states as his wife isn't happy and he's not going to get game time. He also says rangers are monitoring the hearts situation and will move for 3 of their up and coming players should they lose league membership. Thry have a few decent youngsters just now but hickey would be first on the list as Wilson been following him for few years now.

Bellshillad83 I see where you are coming from re Barisic, What is Rangers valuation off him, The way I see it is if there are 3 or 4 teams wanting to sign Borna then it could end up a bidding war. Then again his head could be turned with the possibility of going to play in a better league and demand a transfer. Would Rangers be willing to keep an unhappy player.
