Seen some posts regarding us being interested in a Russian midfielder

What's more interesting is apparently Rangers have came out and said it's not true

And the reason I find it interesting is they have came out and said it's rubbish very quickly

Yet the amount of players were linked with daily the usual suspects
There has been no mention from rangers at all

Why they so quick off the mark on this rumour? Weird one for me?

If Gerrard has shot it down I would tend to believe it. He was quick to shoot down the Nsame from Young Boys link.

Out of all the chances we had today against Hamilton we should have scored a barrel load, but most of our shots were in the side netting or over the bar. But if we could get nsame from young boys in then and only then we would be scoring 6 OR seven goals in every game. I don't understand why SG was quick to shoot it down about nsame as he would be a fantastic striker and would be a hero and idol with us rangers fans. So SG should go and get him now as well as the Russian midfielder from zenit st Petersburg.

the russian would add that extra bit of class to our midfield. Have seen him a few times and it would be a masterstroke by us if he came. But we are looking for players and no doubt every free agent of decent quality will be linked. But being linked to that quality of player will never be a bad thing.
