Just read morelos is eying a new deal at gers and a wage rise for staying. this comes as bit of a shock but listen first gers give him a new contract bumper 4 to 5 year deal and insert a massive buy out clause its win win for everybody. he's by far best goalscorer we have.50 million pound buy out clause. next year loan him to premier league club for 6 months and he does well. we got 50 million in the bank.

People misunderstand the benefit of buy out clauses. They are there to protect a player by agreeing a fee we will definitely accept. Why would the club need one? If we value a player at a certain price it doesn't need a buy out clauses, we can always set that as our asking price. Seen it a few times on here now.

Alfredo Morelos prior to the turn of the year has been a superb Rangers signing. He has been here a few seasons and I can remember him getting 3 new contracts. I can't pretend to even know what he is on but I am lead to believe that he is Rangers top earner. I know that extending his contract protects his value to a degree but his performances this year don't merit him getting a new improved contract. If he waere to get an even better deal and continue his poor performances his value would plummet and we would be left with a very expensive player sitting on the bench.

Alfie stopped trying when he didn’t get his transfer, totally unacceptable, some people accepted it
He then totally disrespected the Hagen family, embarrassed the club and fans and didn’t care, nor apologise, again totally unacceptable, again some on here defended him
It seems to some that Alfredo Morelos is somehow untouchable and above the indelible and long lasting code of honour of our club
I can not imagine him lasting 2 games under Walter and Archie, and with bomber, goughy and Ian Ferguson in the room
But some simple don’t see just how poor a player Alf actually is, and just won’t accept that nobody trusted nor rated him highly enough to offer big money for him, if Lille did actually make a serious offer and it was declined and Alf doesn’t start scoring again then it will have been a decision of massive error.

He’s already reportedly on £30k plus per week.
He’s been bang average for the full calendar year. His link up play has been poor and he seems to have lost his edge.
Hopefully with window shut for 10 weeks he can rediscover the hunger and drive that when he has in his game is what makes him the player he was.
IMO he’s worth £12m ATM but if he picks up his performances and starts scoring regularly again that will increase again to the £15-20m mark.
