Not a chance. Even if we could afford him it wouldn't be an option. He wants to be in the England squad for the euros. Not a chance he'll get in of he's in Scotland. The English think we're a pub league.

boy lost family members recently and had to take over family duties of care. since then had a tough time adjusting to new playbook. would rip it up in scotland but only if family moves as well.

From what I have seen of Lingard, he is a fairly good player without being a world beater or even close to that. It is rumoured that he has an attitude problem. He certainly has family problems and maybe he wouldn't see much point in a huge upheaval for them for a six month loan, and any future deal after the loan period would have to deal with his £78k a week wages, which is too rich for us.
Would he take half of that at the age of 28 when he could probably match it elsewhere? For a player of his calibre it could be too many rivers to cross, so it really is no deal here.

Anyone saying Lingard wouldn't be a benefit to our club are insane! The lad has loads and I mean loads of potential and if it wasn’t for before mentioned personal problems he’d be a Man Uts regular . this lad played and scored for England and his ball control is exceptional and at 27 years of age he needs a new focus on football.

Potential, blackwoodbear? He will be 28 in a couple of weeks. Normally a player has achieved his potential just a wee bit before that.

Totally agree tavsonloyal potential at 28 made me smile. that's something u say of someone begginning their career not someone who is closer to the end of it lol. I don't think the guy is much good anyway just being spouted about as he is english. If the guy was from the faroe islands he'd struggle to get 15-20k a wk and that's being kind.
