Just in the last 20minutes i've been told that celtic will be making moves to sign aberdeen midfielder lewis ferguson, this summer. I'm not revealing my source as this guy is usually on the ball and worked many years at rangers. He got told by someone currently employed at rangers that this is the case 🤔 Don't shoot the messenger only passing on info fellow bears.

I like Ferguson but would t pay anymore than £2m for him. So it wouldn’t happen. He’s a good player. I also really relate O’Donnell I think he’s a cracking full back. Gallagher anytime I’ve seen him for Scotland has been immense so tbh their not bad signings guys. It all depends on the rest of the team as I see Celtic need img over 10 new face this summer maybe around 13. There will be a mass exodus of the talent. With the fringe players not good enough anyway so they really have a lot of work to do and quickly.

I agree, the boy could be very good,

It’s very strange we see talk of anything from 10 -30 million for Ian is hagi, many more millions for almost every rangers player, yet mention replacements at coppers in comparison, inger if you wouldn’t pay more than 2 m for him, and wouldn’t pay 3 million for doing, why would you think other clubs would pay fortunes for our best players?

Hello Tom, my reason I wouldn’t pay more than £2m for Ferguson is we got jack davis and arfield for free, £50k
For Kamara and £350 for aribo if I’m right? Who are all better than Ferguson? Agreed? for a combined £400k mate. So IMO our Scouting team and football department won’t be looking at paying £2m for a squad player from spfl or £3m for a young full back from spfl When we have Bassey and The 2 young boys on loan who Are very. Decent players. I think our aim is to bring through youth or sign £1-3m players from Europe and Bering them on to sell at high prices. Same as Celtic done for years. I’d pay £2m for doig n same for Ferguson. Wouldn’t pay anymore. I get your point though. Also the reason our players are worth more money is we are undefeated league champions who have performed above n beyond expectations in Europe for 3 years running now. Also film internationals for country’s like Croatia Columbia, Hagi scoring the winner as a late sub for romania last night, we have all that on out side. The stats of goals and assists and fouls won etc are all taken into account when players
Are being looked at and we have players with outstanding stats. That’s how I see it anyway mate ❤️🤍💙.

Why would we pay £2 - £3 million for someone that doesn't even get into our starting 11? That doesn't even make sense.
Plus Lewis is getting extra Kudos by some on here because his second name is Ferguson.
Any time he plays against us he is a hatchet man. In a Rangers jersey he becomes a liability and would get sent off every 2nd week.
Plus comparing him to Hagi is total nonsense. They play in different positions plus Hagi has done it at Europa League and International level.

By yiur reckoning, because Rangers found some players who were cheap, or at the end of they're career and wanted to return, then we should just stick to the lidl and aldi shops in the off chance we get another team to win the league, cheap? i'm well aware that some of our players are worth a lot more than the boys mentioned , at the moment , I am still in shock that we can demand 20 million fir ianiss hagi, yet say we won't pay 2 million for a young full back to replace the one we expect 20 million fur, or 2m for a young midfielder to replace the one we want 20 for?

Why on earth would we not replace with good proven spl players who are young and talented , its all good and well finding players at aldi for 300g, but sometimes clubs want the proper value, , just like you say Rangers do, surely 2 or 3 million is good value if your following a model of selling on for 10,20 million later on, if your lucky.

If other clubs watch Rangers selling players for mumillions, then try to buy they're ayers for peanuts, it will not only be unbeneficial to Rangers but also cause a brand new dislike of Rangers across the board, some clubs don't like seeing big clubs taking they're young players for nothing you must pay the piper nowadays, especially when yiur raking in plenty its the plan of course to buy cheap and sell big

But that shouldn't and won't mean 300k every time, or cektic will pay the 3 m or someone in England , and Rangers will be left looking stupid, if Rangers want any young lksyer they must pay the piper,

Signing for rangers could be the making of him (like jack)
So paying £2-3m for a young, talented Scottish player who has improved season by season doesn't seem crazy to me.

Itten and Roofe were both signed as we expected to sell Morelos ( fortunately the asking price wasn't met ) and we like to get our business done early.
Itten was already a Swiss International and doing the business at a decent level.
And when it comes down to it I don't rate Ferguson. IMHO he's found his level at Aberdeen.

It was a few months ago that I heard Celtic were interested in Ferguson but I haven’t heard anything recently. Gallagher and O’Donnell are more likely to end up at Aberdeen than Celtic.

I rate Lewis Ferguson and think he would be ideal back up for Jack just sitting and protecting the back line with his great engine and tenacity to win a tackle, can also get forward and is a decent passer of the ball.
Jack not always fit and for £2m I’d take him all day nothing to do with his dad he’s been the best player out with old firm fir past couple of seasons and has stepped up every team he has played fir to become 1 of their best players he has a great attitude and I wouldn’t want him to go to Celtic tbh.
