Rangers apparently offered 5 million for Goldston, told its Norwich.

Also Bisgrove in talks re naming rights to stadium, big big money over ten years.

Bisgrove seems to be bringing in loads of sponsors and expanding the name of Rangers even further afield. It will always be Ibrox to us all and if the coffers are lined with more money as a result of naming rights being sold then I’m all for it. We are moving with the times and it looks good.

I would sell Goldson as he's not signed the contract he was offered and he's entering his last year so we can't afford to lose him for nothing. 5m would be a good price as we paid less than that for him. He had a great season but I think we could replace him with 5m.

I’m a bit pis*** off with Goldson tbh. He’s got a cheek the way he’s acting. Supposedly, and I stress supposedly, demanding to be our highest earner. I’d never even heard of him when we signed him. We saved him from playing league cup games and u23s, brought him to ibrox, named him vice captain, he’s played in europa league every season he’s been here, has a chance of champions league football this season. Won a league winners medal. Scored in old firm games. We’ve saved the boys career and IMO he’s treating us in a disrespectful manner. If he’s not happy with what he’s got get rid of him and move on. Same with Kent. Sign the deal or bolt. Simple as that.

If you are correct IGWT and we do want €15m and add ons then that's £12.8m and add ons. My question is, why did we not accept Lille's bid of £16.5m🤔. Why did we value him at £20m🤔. Why would we reject a higher bid to accept a lesser bid🤔. Was it because Lille's bid was made up in add ons with less money down🤔. I have always said that people on here have overvalued fredo and if we get £12-15m with add ons and a sell on would be a more realistic value. Interesting times. 👍.

Coldo, I think we just made an ars* of it last year with Lille mate. I don’t know the structure of the deal, none of us do. But the common acceptance is Lille did bid for Alfie for around €18. Why we never took it is beyond me. I think we thought we could haggle for a bit more as that was the opening bid but Lille just said nope not going any higher n walked away. So think we made a mistake, I think now with only 2 years left this is as high a bid as we’re going to get this window. We should prob try hawk him about the leagues and see who’s interested. I thought palace would be an option. Maybe wolves Everton and so on. Epl is our best chance of the £15.£20m by looks of it.

It's no that difficult to understand - we didn't accept any bids for Morelos because we value him higher than any bid we received.

No different for any other player be it Goldson, Kent or Kamara. Meet the clubs valuation and we will sell.

I reckon Morelos is worth +£20m to us and Goldson no less than £5m and whilst I would prefer to keep both, our financial model says we have to sell a few players each season to balance the books and move forward as a team.

Agreed guys. Morelos is worth more than 12 - 15,however we are operating in strange times with money available this year 10-20% down because of C.V..
If we get anywhere near 15 Mill he's gone.
Same with Goldson 5 Mill. Take it and move on.
I think there will be a few others,
Kamara, Hagi, at a push Kent. Its a big hole in a title winning side, it might be rough, but as I've said b4, 56 was always going to be harder than 55.

I think we could bargain a better fee than £5m for goldson even with only 1 year left on deal. i'd be looking for £6m+. We could replace him easily with that money.

To be fair to Goldson he did play every minute. Was outstanding last season and does deserve to be one of our top earners. I say give him his contract, stick in a decent release clause that club would be happy with and see if there are any takers. Happily have him as top earner. If he isn't interested in signing I say we sell him for what we can and bring in a new CB in the Terry Butcher or Richard Gough mould. Like us to have a warrior back there.

I don’t want to lose goldson or Kent for that matter. But if they aren’t signing a new deal this window then we need to sell them. Unfortunately we have 2 of our top players entering the last 2 years of there contract at the same time just as we are trying to build on what we achieved. How long does kamara have? Also 2 years. So there’s 3. What about Alfredo? Don’t tell me that’s 4? Anybody? Well If they aren’t going to sign on, they need to be sold this window or we’re losing half there value. I e just realised goldson has 12 months left.
It’s a shame but if we have to sell goldson, Kent, Alfredo and kamara then so be it. As long as we reinvest in the starting 11 properly n don’t f*** it up.
I have trust in the club and manager to make it work however it goes, but it is a dangerous wee window for us lads.

To those that would sell the naming rights to Ibrox, is that ANY name you would accept? You say that we would still call it Ibrox and so we would but imagine when we are in the champions league and the game is going out live throughout Europe from the mister whippy ice cream stadium or whatever. Its got to be a name with class that befits our stature throughout Europe. We should never sell our soul for 30 pieces of silver.

Goldson is definitely not good enough for the champions league I’d sell for £6m no problem however I understand why he thinks he should be up there with our top earners he plays every game for us and had a very good season but was left wanting in the europa league so I’d let him go if he wants.

We never accepted the 16 million as if we did we wouldn't have won 55 and had a decent run in europe, still our most missed player while out the team. And tht was before C.V. and valuations on everyone has changed, including our targets👌💙.
