Rangers will sign John lundstram on Tuesday so I've been told first of 3 top signing two others to follow as we step up to champions League football.

Lundstram to me isn't a top signing he's not an improvement on what we've got. I'll support him but I'm a little underwhelmed by him as a signing.

Got to admit I'm not excited either about Lundstrom. However if SG thinks he will enhance the team then that's OK by me.
My concern is the amount of players from our first 11 that have been linked with moved out of Ibrox.
I'm sure we won't sell them all but
Alfie, Kamara, Barasic, Tav, Goldson and Hagi are a lot to replace. Perm any 3 from that list and that's a huge hole to plug.
Hopefully all paper talk about these players and Champions league is enough to entice them to stay.

For me Lundstrum is an improvement and I believe he will enhance our midfield. Regardless of whether some are underwhelmed with the prospect of him signing, I'm sure every Rangers fan will give the lad a chance to prove what he can do.

I'm afraid I agree with the doubters here, I watched Lundstram a few times last season and felt he looked slow and kept getting caught on the ball in the middle of the park. I'm just worried the pace of the game up here might be too much for him. Having said that I have complete faith in SG and he has been after him for a while so maybe my untrained eye just not seeing what others do.

So we bring in a powerful midfielder with premiership exp exp with a very good side and people are underwhelmed? The guy will strike it up here and dig to the midfield and is also good at covering the back line given he’s not a cdm. He’s free so will only cost wages. 🤷‍♂️ Master stroke. You watch him go for a walk in the park on game day. 👍.

To be fair 12th joey barton clint hill philip senderos had premiership experience and they were brutal. I haven't seen much of lundstrum to be honest but what I hear I think he will be good. 👍.

It's e relatively low risk signing and could prove to be a masterstroke and I really hope if he signs he goes on to be a fantastic player for us but I have to agree with Coldo. because he has played in the EPL doesn't guarantee quality.

Clint Hill! Is that the same Clint Hill who strode through, and scored in, an old firm game? He was far from brutal. He played in a poor team, and had poor players around him, but he wasn't anywhere near being brutal. The other 2 I agree with you, but not him.

He has premier league experience but will have the wage to boot. Only thing I can think is he's here as a replacement for someone as I'm not sure paying a big wage for someone on the bench makes sense. Who's he good enough to put out?

I’ve seen the lad a few times and never been impressed tbh - but to be fair the entire Sheffield Utd team were atrocious last year and our coaching staff is probably of the view that they can get him to where he was a couple of years ago.

More importantly this move highlighted the professionalism in which we are now managing the squad. David has signed for one more year, Arfield probably has one year left as well. That gives Lundstum more than enough time to settle into the squad and learn the league before we really need him.

Certainly not giving the man pelters coldo I just know we're not paying a low wage for him he's kind of a decent squad player for me. I'll support him if he does sign but not worried if we don't.

Barton failed mainly because of tactics, him kranjcar and windass! He was trying to hold a midfield together . Was only one in there with a tackle in him. Powder puff midfield that warburton wouldn’t change. Needed another guy with dig to help out. Anyway I think lundstram looks a bit slow but will trust Sg.

Clint hill definitely an ok player at rangers.
Re lundstrum, he has been in rangers eye for a year, so you would hope he has it. Agree with coldo and others playing in epl gaurentees nothin.
When it first came out I watched as much off him I could, last year he was not great, IMO due to lack off run off games, his manager said he was very much a scapegoat with fans.
United turned down 5 million in January from palace, wilder said he is a ten million player, imo English price.
If Sg wants him so much will do for me.
Giving how we finished season, light in midfield, Davis getting on as is arfield who may move I think this is a good signing.
A 5-10 million player on a free. Must be an upgrade on zungu, al four year deal, so will have sell on value if it does not work.

Wouldn't go as far to say Sheffield utd are a good side, over achievers 1st epl season and found out big time last season, but reports have mostly been promising about Lundstrum so if he does sign then I look forward to seeing him in the famous' shirt.

Not off me Coldo! Clint Hill played in a poor team, in his late thirties, and was decent. To say he was brutal is very unfair in my opinion. Each to their own and all that I suppose.

Read on some other fan forums that as well as Lundstrum, John Fleck being talked up about a return to Rangers as well. Not sure if any truth in that, would take them both, especially if they are free transfers or cheap deals.

Ger88. How does a football team gain promotion into the epl and have the opportunity to stay in it if they are not a good team. Poor last season yes but the standard of the epl is head and shoulders above our league. The big man will need a good pre season as he didn’t play much last season but from what I have seen of him he will stroll it up here.
