lucky if kelty have £20 never mind 200.

Punter. that's what i thought but john says we are due 200k small money in his words for any of these boys we released that haven't made the grade so didn't earn a new contract?

Is the fee not decided between both clubs because he is under 24 and its not cross border? Was there not a rule that we had to have offered him a contract aswell that he rejected to get a development fee? 👍.

4.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 08:49:28
Yes we get a development fee. Listen if you can’t be bothered reading the rules it’s up to you. what you r saying Craig Mullholland and Wilson r wrong.
Barjonas fee less than that based on when we signed him.

John25, is spot on as that's the way it works!

6.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 09:15:26
Was that reply to me John? Did anyone say that wilson and mulholland were wrong? I asked questions, hence the?

7.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 09:55:21
Infact did anyone mention wilson and mulholland? Couple of people on follow follow saying that we had to have offered him a deal to get compensation. 👍.

8.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 09:57:33
Kelty are probably the most well off club in the lower leagues right now. If you think that Kelty don't have cash, how do you think they can attract managers like Barry Ferguson and Kevin Thomson?

Hope we get the development fee, does anyone know if we get development fees for the many players wee recently released? Thanks in advance 👌💙.

09 Jul 2021 10:56:49
Kelly have decent cash to fling around esp at that level.

11.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 12:31:31
Why don’t you guys read the rules, it’s easy.
Coldo my response to bears den,
Broxi development fees were introduced to stop Man City, Chelsea Bayern Barcelona hoovering up players for nothing
It’s very well explained on epl or spfl site.

12.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 13:25:00
Its a discussion John. Can you confirm that to get compensation then we had to have offered him deal? 👍.

13.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 13:53:18
Coldo the answer is no, please go read the rules and why they were changed.
It was to protect smaller clubs. They develop players from early age 8 and don’t keep them . They get money pretty simple.

14.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 14:52:50
Why would clubs get money for players they don't want? Makes no sense at all. But if that's the rules then it works out well for us. 👍.

15.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 15:29:43
Coldo please read and give me your opinions, interesting Watford have just said on fans site they have signed mebude for a small development fee.

16.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 16:11:10
Yeah John but was mebude offered a contract to stay? 👍.

17.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 16:15:20
John put it this way. let's say I develop a player for 10 years and I realise when that player is aged 22 that I don't want them as they aren't good enough. So I let their contract expire and I don't offer them a new deal to stay. It doesn't make sense that I should be compensated for that if that player signs for another club. 👍.

18.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 16:35:23
I just read what mulholland said and they way he was talking it sounded as though a lot of the boys including mebude were not offered contracts and there was no mention of compensation either👍.

19.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 16:40:00
Just read on the official watford website, no mention of a development fee👍.

20.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 16:42:57
We got 200k for charlie telfer development fee years ago.

21.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 17:08:31
We offered telfer a contract though rfc92👍.

22.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 17:31:46
Coldo I think you’re right here! It’s crazy, how can you get money for a guy yo don’t want and didn’t offer a contract to!

23.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 17:40:41
It doesn't make sense bgate. 👍.

24.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 18:03:47
Was never going to make it at Rangers anyway.

25.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 18:07:18
John has this wrong! He's normally right but miles off with this.

26.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 18:21:55
Cool Bearsden, can u quote what rules say.

27.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 18:57:29
John your rules could put players out the game. we let a player go as he's not good enough but he can't sign for someone as the only clubs that want him can't afford him. this could be a scenario. Madness.

28.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 19:27:40
Bearsden not my rules. Rules on spfl website. I may be totally misunderstanding them as does Wilson.
I would appreciate your read them and post a reply.

29.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 19:57:24
Bears sadly I reread the rules.
Development fee, training costs are mandatory according to fifa, adopted by spfl.
As u suggest players could be priced out off game which is covered by all clubs, players, association being preset in specific categories.
This it states prevents a player who is released being priced out off game. Ie a rangers player going to Kelty would attract a category 4 fee applied to calculations
A rangers player going to say Chelsea attracts a category 1 fee applied to calculations.
It’s a great read only 87 pages, no wonder it is complicated.

30.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 20:31:29
They have to refuse a new contract prior to their original contract expiring for us to get compensation John. Medube, barjonas were not offered new deals and were released so we are not due compensation. You were wrong all along. 👍.

31.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 21:50:36
If u say so coldo,

32.) 09 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 21:52:13
87 pages so forgive me for asking a question but i suppose we will get a development fee if we never offered a contract as we did develop them for years, would tht be correct 🤔💙.

33.) 10 Jul 2021
09 Jul 2021 22:22:38
Wilson never misunderstood the rules either. 👍.

No broxi. They were released. 👍.
