Dsger midfield boy signed from Bournemouth, identified with a serious heart issue as stated by gerrard.
Rangers said he would need tests and would be out for a long time. As gerrard said priority is his health.

Hope the lad is ok and tests come back ok. His health is obviously the main focus, but how that didn't show up prior to signing is a mystery?

They didnâ€™t show up because he never had any issues at the time to in depth medical was carried out.
When he either felt different or displayed some form of symptom during rigorous pre season training our club doctor identified after additional tests an issue with his heart.
Unfortunately these things happen the main thing is itâ€™s been identified and now club can assist his recovery where possible.

His health is the most important, but a medical/ ecg prior to signing would flag up any heart issues. There would 100% be warning signs or concerns shown. Dosent just change overnight!

The investigation by the cardiologist will take time and be very thorough and rightly so. I'm sure when there is something to know the club will announce it and hopefully its nothing serious for the boy. I have went through heart scares in my late teens early 20s and it takes time. For him I'm sure football doesn't matter until he gets the all clear.

Thank god he was ok - but e. g. I think Erikson might have had a surprise, without any previous issue.
These things happen, as it did with me in a London underground many years ago and I thought I was pretty fit back then.

Agree Bar, I was exactly same had a full BUPA medical on the Monday. All clear, cover upgraded, quadruple by pass and defibrillator fitted following Monday.
That was 12 years ago, all good now.
