Just received message Defoe granted permission to talk to Charlton, not my usual source.
Anyone hearing anything.

Not heard anything but don't think that's a good move for him. They are in turmoil even after that De Chatale or whatever he is called sold them. If he hangs about and learns his trade here there is no reason he can't succeed Gerrard.

Must admit i've heard nothing regarding jermain defoe possibly signing for charlton John25🤔If there was any truth in it he would certainly go with my blessing and most bears blessing imoðŸ‘Defoe has been superb for us even at his age and what a striker he was and even at us in the twilight of his career,
his goalscoring record for us is good👌I wish he was ten years youngerðŸ™.

Yeah mikeger as manager. DG had zero managerial experience when we took him on and Defoe is being educated under him, G Mac and Beale. He could attract players like SG has with his reputation. i'm not saying its my first choice but its possible.

How much is Defoe on per week? Save money. Only thing is the younger players and some senior players will loose out here as Defoe is really making strides coaching.

I'm not on twitter but I was sent a screenshot of a Rangers account which congratulated Defoe on his punditry and looked forward to seeing him back at the training ground. I've asked one of the twitterati to check it and it seems it's on there.

Personally I think it makes sense to shift his wages to another, however, he’s apparently impressed many with how he’s hit the ground running as a coach.

Excellent coach, but we don’t pay some off our other coaches 10k a week, it will be tidied up soon enough.
