No way we’ll get potter for the same reason Gerrard just left us. The premier league regardless of what team you’re at is too big a pull. Plus Potter will have suitors at bigger teams than Brighton soon enough. Also don’t want Terry, it worked with SG but it’s a big gamble to for another rookie ex legend. For me it’s Gio all day. Would take Gattuso too but my first choice would be Gio. Fingers crossed it’s done soon.

Not a fans favourite
But mcciness?
Can work on a budget can work with the youth and knows the league inside out
any big name will want money we don’t have.

Potter would be some coup. Imagine getting a head coach to leave the EPL to come to a bigger club than the one he’s currently with. What a smack in the face for the naysayers down South that would be. This guy’s teams seem to punch well above their weight which must be down to his coaching methods.

Potter would be my 1st pick but I don’t think that would even reach a discussion. Gio would be my preference and I’m not keen on Terry as a gaffer of our club.

The stig feck no he shouldn’t be anywhere near our club unless we want to finish outside the top 2.

There is absolutely no chance potter is coming up here.

Might not get Potter but a guy he trusts Billy Reid might fancy it.

Potter would be a great appointment. McInnes would be a disaster. The guy is a serial bottler. He has won nothing and I doubt that he has even won against Celtic. A total disaster for us if he is anywhere near the shortlist!

Stig I actually agree with you, a bit, I knew del well years ago, a favourite of Walter and souy, and a respectable coach who kept aberd Going while losing every decent player, and against a cash rich septic, he is also a massive Rangers man, and had good reasons to say no the first time

Before anyone shouts it’s ju a football Opinion.

Personally never fancied McInnes - but what I would say is, when he is doing his punditry, his level of detail and knowledge is greater than anyone I’ve ever heard. Especially when talking about shape or positional play. He obviously knows his stuff.

However he would need to get a new No.2, someone like Barry Ferguson to get the fans on board.

That said I would still prefer Gio.

His number two would be docherty. Also his off field behaviour would be a major embarrassment to our club.

I don't think for a minute docherty would be his assistant at rangers john, just wouldn't be accepted by the fans and the board are fans too, i know mcinnes was very highly regarded by walter, as a player and a coach.

McInnes wouldn't be the manager that the majority of our fans would want and come January and a defeat to Celtic he would be roasted. We need a manager that is respected outside the backwater of Scotland that can attract quality players. McInnes has done absolutely nothing in football. He failed miserably down in England and in a league without Rangers he never challenged Celtic for the league. I just don't believe that he would command the respect of the players and he would lose us the league this season.

Yep, he would have to ditch Doherty to get some credibility with the fans.

Love Gattuso but he's a rocket. Would be far to unstable to manage us.

McInnes was offered the job before and ended up making a fool out of Rangers and Dave King. He's had his chance.

It will definitely be an out of work manager, so for me the only credible name I've heard is GVB.
