John25 I have heard the only other person Interviewing is Kjetil Knutsen of Bodø/ Glimt. Is there any Knowledge of this. I also think the 3rd person is Derek McInnes.

I've stated on here many times in the past that we shouldn't lose the experience and continuity that Davis and McGregor brings to the club. with Davis groomed to be a future manage given the respect he has throughout the football fraternity.

Rangers have said both players u mentioned ibrox r not in the frame.
DB I think yes re Dutch players and previous names mentioned as I understand dof selects players that fit the system and model then manager has final say
It is something I will follow closely next two months, mb Gio or new manager will have a couple of gems to bring in.

Hi john25, i heard earlier from a friend who works inside ibrox, that gvb announced today, however they also said that its the worst place for rumours, however i'm even more interested that the mood music your hearing is same, therefore its a waiting game, thanks for all your helpful info john.

One of the Glasgow rags reporting gio to be announced in next 24hrs! If that’s true who knows but if talks went well today then I’d expect it announced pretty soon.

Calum Davidson was 100% interview for the job.
I’m assuming Rangers have a No 1 preferred option which is GVB .
Should he knock us back then either Davidson and the other mystery candidate will get it.
I for one would go mental if Davidson gets it as there are lots of better options out there.
No offence to Davidson as he is on the right track but this job is far too soon for him.

TT, Greig failed as a Manager, Walter had the benefit of Souness and funds to bring in the best players. Souness was very much a top drawer appointment as a player coach. I hope Davidson is a success but he is no where near what we need at rangers at the moment. We need someone that can attract top quality players, I can't see Davidson being a name that would motivate many to come from outside Scotland and there is no one in Scotland other than the lad at Hearts that would be an improvement on what we already have.
