St mirren seem to be a well run club… do see them getting involved in many off field spats etc. so has to be better than Bennett doing it all by himself….

He has a good CV and is well respected in the Charity Sector. He appears to be a steady pair of hands that is excellent on Corporate Governances and Risk Management. His time at St Mirren's appears to be generally positive but there is a significant difference in being in a strategic role at St Mirren and at Rangers.
That said he will certainly steady the ship and will hopefully be strong enough to stop the poor decision making that we have seen in the past few years.
If I have a concern, then it is that he will not be strong on Business Development at a time when we need to substantially increase our off the park income, however he is seen as an expert on Business Restructuring and arguably that is what we primarily need at present.
As a Rangers Supporter he should, like the rest of us, be 100% concerned about the current state of our club, not least of all, our performances on tha park.
Dare I suggest that this is the ideal appointment to sort out the mess and get the Club ready for a takeover or a substantial influx of investment since there would be inevitable questions at present in any related due diligence.
