Any truth that hagi has accepted reduced terms and is now available? Also does anyone know how much the add on payment is when he reaches 100 games?

Why pay his wages and not play him? It was the board who sanctioned his wage demands when he signed. If he has agreed to reducing his salary then bring him back in. Better player than mcausland, Dowell etc.

Like several managers before him he does not want Hagi and that is very clear now. Just the same as the vast majority of Managers in Europe, so could the problem be Hagi? or everyone else? except a few experts on here of course, a couple seeing him as a winger being the most ridiculous .

Totally understand PC has decided he’s not for him and we don’t really know what Hagi is doing or what his agent is doing but I’m not entirely comfortable on the treatment of the player. He’s not any worse on some of the players we have in that squad. I wonder if PC is saying he’s not his no10 because we dropped one on the deal and he’s not allowed to play him.

At this stage, I assume our options can only be release him or manage to sell him to a league that hasn’t quite closed yet. What a mess.

Not getting some fans saying Hagi has been treated very badly? Have we stopped his wages? He’s had 1 good game for us and did ok in 1 game in the Euro’s yet he’s spoken about like he’s world class.
He’s not good enough and time for him to move on, shouldn’t be hard for his dad to move on the wonder kid .

I don’t I think the club is the biggest issue 1 game before his old club are due 1.4milion euros and he is due a rise we stop playing him it will put clubs off selling to us and player wanting to come if we are not keeping up our end of the deals the board is full of nuggets.

Oh the Hagi situation rumbles on and on. If you ask me, and nobody does, it’s simply a case that Rangers have no money, skint, hence one in one out, and consequently cannot afford to play Hagi as £1.4m squids is money they don’t have.

Think of it another way, you pay £1.4m to honour his contract the decent thing to do, or you refuse to honour his contract and treat him like a leper. Now I wonder why Hagi might have issues with this. And let’s be honest he is not a bad player and we could certainly use him.

Moffat he played on both wings under Gerrard, predominantly on the RW and still finished top assister in the league and was voted best young player at the club both as a winger, if a manager actually played him as a 10 which is his natural position, then maybe we would see his true potential.

The club are at fault here plain and simple, if they don't have the money then that is the clubs fault for being so wasteful with funds over the seasons since Gerrard was moved on.

The manager likes players that can play multiple positions, we are short on wing options and 10's, not hard to see the solution, or do we let the young lad rot in the B team while his value decreases further, and another player walks for a low fee, good business sense that is.

Laudrup ok all his previous managers have been wrong including at Alaves where he was rarely used Fiorentina too but maybe you are right he's a flying winger, canny see it myself . Moffat he made 22 appearances at Alaves, sure most of them were sub appearances.
No one is saying he has the speed of say Lovenkrands or Kanchelskis, but he did a fairly good job for us as a RW, the stats speak for themselves.
do managers usually play injured players while they are in recovery?
prior to his injury he was played regularly both by Gerrard and Gio, was injured during most of Beale's era, other than his Fiorentina spell 2 games played, he was used regularly by all his managers pre injury, and had the board not backed out on the contract agreement he would have never gone to Alaves in the first place.
How many clubs extend a players contract while in the final stages of injury recovery, then loan that player out?
I remember the Beale interview where he stated Ianis was very much part of his team plans once fully recovered, then the board at the time clearly went against that decision, i can't remember off hand if we had a board reshuffle at that time, was that a possible reason why Hagi was frozen out and then loaned out?
Not like Clement can play a player that wasn't even at the club when he arrived, so it's pretty obvious why He wasn't played much in the latter part of GIO's term, then barely at all during Beal's term or at all during Clements term, he was either still in recovery or out on loan.

The whole thing with Hagi is his and his agents doing.

Rangers are not due Genk 1.4m, they are due them 350k plus money if we win the league again.

The contract situation is what it is. He was told we don't see him as the future no10 and that is fine.

Hagi sat last season in Spain banging on that he wanted to stay in laliga and this was the best league for him and doesn't see a future at Rangers.

His agent then goes on about how loads of teams are after him and he will be lucky to do a pres season again at Rangers as he will move and that's what we want.

Fast forward 2 months and nobody wants him that will pay him what he currently gets paid by Rangers, and that's without the increase for hitting 100 games.

If he can't get into this Rangers team then the boy really does have problems because we are rank rotten. Totally outplayed and sadly outclassed today and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
What's more, I don't see any of those players that I saw today being of the quality wanted to sell on for £millions.

In fact, given the Board's abysmal failure to fund quality players, we will continue to go backwards at a great rate of knots and if PC can't or won't replace Tav, then he has bigger problems then I realised.

Nothing positive at all about that team or that performance today. We could have lost by four or five.

To be honest a midfield of Hagi, Fleck and Ryan Jack or lose one Lundstram would have done better today, to get pumped by a team with McGregor in it is shocking. Hope Shankland scores today to give some people a lift.
