How we've given players like Connor goldson just under 40k a week I will never understand, what were we thinking? We actually deserve to be were we are right now with the contracts we've been giving out to these pretenders.
Can anyone tell me how many players we have that were on 30k or over, including the 6 that just left?

When Goldson joined he looked a top player, and helped us to win 55 unbeaten. Of late he has slipped but was our best defender for a good while.

Defo mystar, pretty sure we had about 6 players on 30k or more, it's tragic to pay these guys those amounts, would makes sense if they were winning trebles the last few year. I'm sure that lot only pay mcgregor upwards of 30k and they have been winning doubles and trebles, champions league money every year, how we thought we could sustain this is beyond me I ain't very good at maths but could tell you that isn't going to work.

The reason is very simple.

We couldn’t afford to spend the money it would’ve cost on a replacement at that time.

So paying him that extra fee grand a week is cheaper than signing another player.
