I would play wing backs of Jefte and Kasa. Sterling at Centre back. Bajrami off Dessers. Our wingers are just not good enough. I would even move Tav into centre mid.

aye ok we hammer the manager when he is forced to play people out of position but now we are suggesting 2 out of positions. i am all for trying anything even to the extent where they are constantly swapping sides but only to give the opposition a torrid time but start in right positions.

Cerny is our starter. McCausland benefits from pressure being off and running at tired defences.
I think Cerny will get better but feel Tav is offering no width/ pace so limiting Cerny effectiveness.

Don’t see the manager dropping Lawrence or Tav, Sterling and Nanna at full backs and Berjami in no 10, Jefte on left wing would be in a lot of fans thoughts but can’t see it happening, more chance of seeing Stirling in beside Barron to cover Tav if Dio not fit.

I know Stromtrooper but Clement has said he is trying playing Tav more central, so its maybe best tav is in there instead of exposed at right back.

coopers. the sitting midfield would cover whoever plays as our attacking full back. we also tend to drop Barron in between the CBs so that they can go wider to provide that cover. same for jefe, Yilmaz. also our wingers drop in as extra defenders. It isn't about Tav here it is about PC expecting our FBs to get forward. this year I think Tav is playing more the Barisic role and sitting back more to allow Jefte to attack. we have never to my memory let both FBs attack at same time all game.
agree geesadodothat we moan about players not being played in position and then suggest just that, hence my sarcastic post. football manager has a lot to answer for ?.

If tav needs help to do his job, defend, then he shouldn't start. Let's be real he's not even getting up the park with the same regularity anymore. If he was, then yes, the cover is required, but he isn't.

Fork he is getting support from his teammates same as Jefte gets on the other side. Celtic mob around opposition on each side but that doesn't mean their FBs are past it and can't defend.
As I say, I think he has been told to sit in more so that Jefte can attack, but even then in last game Jefte only had 1 more cross than Tavs so if he isn't getting forward as much he is as effective as Jefte.
He has 1 goal and 3 assists, 1 more assist than last year and same goals. Jefte has no goals or assists. Tav's match ratings are better than any other Rangers player on stats sites.
he has his faults and I can see them as do most players, but it is just an opinion which says he is past it not the figures.

Fork I can see that in your opinion he isn't the same player and that this won't change. TBH i'm not even trying to change that opinion or anyone's really. I happen to like checking stats to see how they compare to what I think and some others may not so I think they may find it useful for me to put those up so they don't have to. Just part of who I am really.

Gordy no I'm not but like to deal in facts and would for any player. If the facts showed he was poorer then I would say that. glad to hear your opinion though. if you notice my threads I am also defending Cerny, McCausland and Bajrami as well. I believe in having a positive outlook for the team which does seem to be a problem on here it seems. I can live with that. If we win tomorrow we will be world beaters again according to some then if we lose we will be the worst and sack the manager, board, tea lady whoever. I like to be more balanced and look at the stats.
