How will Brenda pick his players up after that mauling, this could be the catalyst for a change in their performances.
If I remember rightly we had half a team out v Liverpool, what's their excuse going to be? They are still the team to beat for us, a win for us in next game v them could really change things up for the better, here's hoping?.

Neil Lennon was spot on.
It`s commendable playing an expansive footballing style against domestic sides and weak European teams but to play the way they did tonight against last seasons finalists, on their own patch, was a step to far for them.

that is why we do well in Europe though; our style is more pragmatic. when we play them we try to go toe to toe with them and if we lose a goal, hone like them, we look like we will lose more quickly. we need to like Dortmund stick to passing out from the back and trying to beat their press. not easy.

All it really showed is the vast difference in quality.
Scottish football just cannot compete at that level.
Celtic are humping teams in the Scottish league 4 or 5 nil and they get slaughtered.
Celtic were lucky last night that Adeyemi got injured and that schmeichel had a couple of good saves or it could have been 10+ which would have been amazing HAHA
Celtic fans i know genuinely fancied their chances prior to kick off HAHA
Brenda has been found out.
Beating Dortmund isn't for everyone I guess. WATP!

Ally, Scottish teams can compete we've beaten huge teams in Europe Celtic are an embarrassment over as many years. They've been lucky that that's meant we're playing a ridiculous amount of football a year and they've had a free pass to get there with us losing the league.
Let's see how their perfect team reacts to trying to actually compete past Xmas because that's when we've lost the leagues.

In fairness other than that year we have been competitive but in Europa League. That year we had a player sent off and never really had our first choice central defence, playing King and Sands together at some points and Ben Davis as the other choice.
Goldson got injured against Liverpool in 7-1 game and until that point I think it was only 2-1 then they brought on Sarah. We at least try to adapt to Europe where BR just goes out and tries too match them toe to toe, which is always liable to lead to those types of scores. long may that continue.
I feel our lack of squad depth and playing in Europe past Christmas has resulted in more injuries and had an affect on our league form post-christmasy so it will be interesting to see how they get on as they aren't used to that schedule.
time will tell.

Angus, it’s sad we consider poor progress as a success.
