So after struggling to a 2-1 'result' against st mirren are we really content with this, the result in Europe is an anomaly in what is our season, we currently languish 3rd and at this stage and performance highly unlikely to progress any higher. Is it the manager alone to blame? Is it the board to blame? At the end of the day the manager is not on the field, the board is not on the field, the players are the only ones who can grind out results and either score or concede goals and points.
It's pretty simple, you either play for the jersey or you don't. Have they all turned into mediocre and bad players! I think not, it's time these highly paid 'professionals' grow a set of nuts and start fighting to save this season as the rate we are going 4th or 5th is a real possibility.
But would that change my allegiance. hell no Rangers till I die ????.
If they are not happy ask to leave, agree to have the contract mutually cancelled with no reparations to them.
Time to grow a set of balls and play like they want to be here.

Brilliant storm, yes we made 5 big chances or what are you now saying we didn't make 5 big chances? could have been far better in the opening 45 minutes but came onto a game in the second half.

Not only did we struggle but we made it look painful at times and lucky not to have conceded 3 or 4 ourselves. Now I don't think all these players are bad but just watch the reaction from most of the team when Dio scored, absolutely no emotion from most players. No joy and no passion at all which to me says the dressing room is divided, just an observation.

We did struggle in the first half but were far better in the second.
Rangers had 5 big chances St mirren had 2,Rangers had 6 shots on target and 10 off target, St mirren had 4 on 5 off, St mirren keeper made 5 saves Butland made 2 saves, Rangers had more than double thier corners, and more than treble St mirren passes and 73% position, wasn't really a struggle going of they stats.

Yes we made 5 big chances but that doesn't mean that we didn't struggle. The stats may have been favourable to us but that doesn't tell the story of the game. We struggled in both halves and were very lucky to win the game.

Keep your stats, it was another very tedious game to watch. I really don’t see when this eureka moment is going to happen when we move from being really poor to consistently good, there’s absolutely nothing to get excited about watching Rangers for the last 3 years. Wednesday is another domestic must win game and our record with those over the last 3 years is shocking .

Ok so we made 5 big chances and converted NIL, I bought a lottery ticket with 10 lines so theoretically 10 chances to win …. I won nothing … without conversion chances are nothing.

I didn`t think we played well yesterday but in response to the initial post we did " grind" out a result and won the points which is what you say you want the players to do.
Yesterday had one or two good points, the Raskin/ Barron partnership looked good again, Kasanwirjo looked good in both positions he was asked to play in and Cerny looks to be settling into being a Rangers player . It also highlighted our biggest problems, Proppers lack of pace and physicality at the back (why did we sign him? ), no creativity in the No 10 position where Lawrence, who is not great, was sorely missed and lack of a focal point up front Igamane was lost and Dessers made a big difference but he showed again why he is not the answer.

First half St mirren had a go, we were absolutely horrendous. Second half wasn't much better. What was the 5 big chances we created? Please remember we were playing st mirren at ibrox and we struggled badly. Only raskin/ cerny got pass marks the rest weren't at it.

Boy blue I did say we struggled yesterday, but big improvement in the second half and we could easily win that game 4-1.yes we did make 5 big chances but scored 2 goals the tims made had 4 big chances against Motherwell but scored three times, putting the ball in the net has been a problem since Clement has been our manager and he can't be held responsible for that.

Mystar I just don't remember 5 big chances mate, the 2 goals what were the other 3? I also don't think there was a big improvement in 2nd half. You say we could have won 4-1 we could have lost the game aswell. Mystar I think PC can be blamed for lack of goals he's had 2 windows to fix it and hasn't, why?

To be fair we did have 5 big chances, the two goals, Cerny's sitter and Dessers had two big chances. We really must take these chances. Doesn't take away from the fact that we were very poor both halves yesterday.

Talking about big chances and quoting stats is just papering over the cracks.

If we perform like that on Wednesday we will get torn apart.

You would think going by some comments on here that we lost yesterday… and funny but when grinding out results for our last title, that was viewed as gritty and great.

Were we good, NO, are we vulnerable at the back to pace and power, YES, are we light in certain positions, YES…. But we also have to be realistic. Love or loath them, we will have Cortez, Souttar and Hagi available again soon (hopefully Lawrence and Yilmaz too) … options are coming, if we can get past Aberdeen… and why not? No offence they are no Barcelona so why shouldn’t we be able to win.

There lies the problem right there, exactly what storm is trying to say, who confirms what a big chance is? As mystar blue order, you both see it differently, mystar saying cerny had 2 big chances, blue order saying dessers. So it was either 6 big chances or 4 big chances and 2 half chances ? as you both can't be right.
Mcnaughten, we are clinging on to hope that things are improving, when it's so obvious they aren't mate. Imo we were very lucky to scrape a 2-1 victory against st mirren. If your OK with that then fair play, I'm not I'm pissed that our team isn't performing against the dross in the spl, it's worrying.

Big chances, Bajramis miss from 4 yards first half, Cernys chance that the keeper made a great save, Dessers header that was well saved, Dessers scuffed shot that was blocked, Dessers spin an shot wide when Bajrami was in the clear for a pass and Dessers run clean through on the keeper when he didn`t shoot, made hash of rounding the keeper and then fell down . Could have been a pen, maybe.
Thats 6, 5 in the second half not counting the goals.
