ED

Heard anything about this ?Perhaps share price movement was due to fact that another site - has released an excerpt from SPFL board minutes that show they will now chase the newco for a £250K fine that was imposed on the oldco for the EBT scandal. As SPFL cannot recover from liqudated company they have decided it is a footballing debt which newco agreed to cover as part of the 5 way agreement. Seems like everybody is trying to get their cash before second admin. Sell now before left with nothing

From LSE Share Chat.

{Ed039's Note - I had seen that Pads yes)

If it is part of this legendary 5 way agreement then why now is it just surfacing. Would also like to know did the SPL pay DU the money they held back from Rangers from a Scottish Cup tie season 2011/12.
. Rangers also had to Forfeiture £2. 55m winnings of in prize money from the SPL for the 2011/12 season. How much do they want.

{Ed039's Note - Plus the money from Steve Davis)

Is it possible the rangers didn't forfeit 2. 55 million prize money but actually the spl couldn't give the liquidated clubs money to a new club? Similar to the £600,000 every spl team got from setanta that isn't being paid to the new club also? Just a thought?

Hi ed - I posted to you first - you didn't publish. I then posted to LSE site under same user name. you should make clear THIS info on scribd site as excerpt from SPFL minutes 28th October. and further today 3. 2 Million shares were dumped today by single investor as well as the 200k shares yesterday that caused me to look into reasons why

{Ed039's Note - if they were both there then I would only post it once to avoid repeating it)

@1 Are you seriously suggesting that Newco should be free of Oldco's multi-multi-million pounds debt but be entitled to the winnngs earned by Oldco? The football debts were the price agreed for newco entry to the league - surely everyone can see that without that then any club would be free to buy success beyond its means, not least by nabbig othervteams players and not paying for them, then just shed all its debts by going into liquidation and taking three years to go through the leagues as it overspends on same strategy all over again? There has to be at least some measures to avoid financial unfair play on that scale! Surprised to see you joining in on this one Ed, seriously shocked to see you claim davis money should've come to newco, that just simply isn't the case for all sorts of reasons, legal as well as fair play.
Jocko

{Ed039's Note - I never said rangers should have seen that cash, just merely showing that not only the board who have been getting wealthy off rangers)

Ed I'm sure you would agree, though, that there is a big difference between the spfl "getting wealthy" by legitimately "withholding" money that is simply not due to newco, and the board getting wealthy through hoodwinking the fans and other jiggery pokery tactics. Just your comment at @1 made it sound like you put both in the same bracket?

{Ed039's Note - Why not pay out to oldco then, I keep hearing all the concern for the creditors, surely then that money belongs to BDO so I dont agree with your ascertation that witholding the money is legitamate)

Fair point Ed, though it's not so much getting wealthy "off rangers" in that case, rather getting wealthy "off rangers creditors". don't really think we can cry victim on this one.

{Ed039's Note - I wasn't crying victim for Rangers, I was bemoaning the lack of sense at the SFA or whichever organisation it is)

Ok so we're all agreed then, the sfa are a bunch of balloons but rangers not particularly victims. Glad that's been cleared up and sense prevails. Can't stand this victim mentality that has prevailed ever since liquidation.
