Totally agree I expected that one of the top championship players would have no problem cutting it up here, hopefully getting rid of him won't dig too deep into our already depleted funds.

People fail to understand that it is not that Scotland is some underestimated great quality footballing nation the English fail to see it is that Scotland is a nation of hammer throwing thugs in general

I have seen from my kids coaches at school growing up over their 12 years in Scots system the lack of skills coaching and everything based on running and tackling plus get the ball to mess up the park after one touch

This has created a system where we are under skilled and over physical

Every team bar Rangers and Celtic plays this way as Souness used to say hammer throwers!

It is very hard for even quality players to survive in this arena as they get two seconds on the ball before being clobbered by some part time plumber or at best Doug Rougvie like thumper!

We are what we made of ourselves from 5 year olds up

Thankfully in maybe 7/10 years the coaching systems employed by Rangers and Celtic might drag us out the stone age and we might qualify for World Cup 2039 😀.

Can anyone on here tell me, with some authority; how we can rid of Barton. Looks to me, he is coasting through this at our expense of MW and our absent Chairman and PM the man at the Helm being done up by Traynor. Pathetic.

no one knows the exact circumstances of his suspension so unless you know what happened and also know what is on his contract then no one knows if his contract is able to be terminated. I would expect that it's not. If it was, then Rangers would have terminated it. It will be interesting to see how he pleads to the SFA charges of betting? If he pleads guilty does that open the door to bringing the club into disrepute? Is that a sackable offence, well it depends what's in the contract however Rangers have had this issue previously and as the players in question pleaded guilty and did not have their contracts terminated, there may be an argument that a precident has been set? I can't see any way Barton's contract can be ripped up. The only option may be to sell him in January even on a free would be considered a result?

People being suspended can be up to 6 months if and when all cases are heard, unfortunately ours is in the limelight but a process has to by law take place, we could have jb talking about the case then the betting, its amazing what a good lawyer can do, i reckon small payoff and off he'll toddle with a confidential clause, a shame though cause i fancied him to grab the game by the balls but all he's done is grab us by the balls.
