Saw someone say we are only 2 or 3 players away from being a force. Okay. forgetting Miller is 37 and Hill 38 I think we are still some way behind that lot. Today was imo only a slight improvement. Mckay was superb Windass was showing some class with his passing Hill and Fod done well. Halliday couldn't pass the parcel and again complete indeciveness in the final 3rd cost us. When I say slight improvement it's because even though this was slightly easier to watch we were still miles behind them in terms of attempts/ possession etc. We need a whole new spine.

We lack real quality and even though Sinclair would be a mediocre EPL player he is quality in this league. That said he looked good today because he was up against nothing down that flank and Tavernier's ineffectiveness defensively added to Halliday's total inability put our central defence under immense pressure.

McKay was arguably the best player on the park and Windass showed signs that he will come good. Garner looked like he could cause them problems with his robust style of play but Waghorn offered nothing when he came on and Holt will not be any better than he is and that is not good enough. Hill and Miller both showed quality but they can't go on for ever and we have no one in reserve to take their positions. With better defensive coaching I have to believe that both Wilson and Kiernan would improve; perhaps Hill should be given that role!

We need investment, we are crying out for two quality midfield players and we cannot sit back and hope that Rossiter, Crooks and Krancjar will come back injury free and staff fit! We also need quality replacements for Miller and Hill and if we are to play with wing backs then we need at least one quality player for this role. We also need to find a captain because we lack a leader on the park!

TOMUSA, Scott Sinclair is a class player, your poor players do not have any bearing on that. He makes himself look good because he is good. Your players are poor because they are just poor. Sour grapes to just have a pop at him like that. he's been at Big teams for a reason. Mckay was maybe your best player on the park but not overall. That was Scott Sinclair, as was chosen.

TBH I thought Stuart Armstrong was MOM, slightly edging WF.

I would have given MOM to Foderingham, easily his best display in the nets this season.

Listen mate its a bad day when Izzaguirre is beating Tav for pace from a stand still position, says enough. So I wouldn't sing the high praises of Sinclair too much. Big clubs? He only went to Man City due to the home grown rule and couldn't get a seat on the bench then struggled to make an impact in a poor Villa side. Just being realistic mate he is being made to look better than he is because of the lack of quality up here. Simple.

Yes Ger88, Sinclair was struggling down south, but Brendan saw his potential at Swansea and brought him to Celtic where he has turned out great displays game after game . Celtics formed dipped a little when he was injured but so glad we have him . . Was worried today when you took the lead but like the St Johnstone game your heads dropped when we got the equaliser . Young Mc Kay your best player . Happy New Year to you all .

Doesnt say much for the rest of your team when you think your keeper was MOM. Incidentally, he didn't get that award anyway. lol HH.
