A sad sad day at the demise of Billy MC Neil. Great ambassador for football and a man who won everything in club football but who's self charm was self evident to all. Met him once at a dinner and his knowledge of Rangers/ Celtic players/ teams in 60s was phenomenal. A sad sad loss.

Never had the honour of seeing him play great man and a pure gentleman as an ambassador for Celtic. I've recently started reading Scottish football history for fun and some greats in the 60's/ 70's. Wish we could get home grown talent of that calibre now.

Just woke up to the news Billy has died, a captain in the image of his great friend Greigy who I'm sure will be heartbroken, god bless ceaser, I'm sure the real RANGERS family are saddened too.
