Just for a wishlist idea, there's a young Slovakian midfielder named Albert Rusnak in the MLS who has been fantastic for Real Salt Lake so far this season, came through the Man City youth system and I think would fit very well into our current system maybe as an upgrade on Jack.

Sorry mate, but ryan jack most definitely deserves his starting place in our midfield and has been superb for us. Jack would always have a place in our midfield, as far as i'm concerned.

I'm a big fan of Ryan Jack myself, had a terrific season but we will always look to add more quality and this boy is a prospect. Wouldn't mind if Jack wants to score the winner Sunday again mind you!

I like Jack but he is not good enough to mix it in European group stages year in year out which is where we need to get to. Decent at SPL level but not above, he need upgraded at some point but priorities elsewhere right now!

If we want to go up a level then we need better than jack. Kamara arfield davis are all much better than jack👍.

I ain’t a fan of jack does a good job but we need better.
Also don’t think we can win a league with Goldson and katic as our mainstay defenders we need one or two more that are better.

Honestly guys, i think you're being a bit unfair on ryan jack here! This midfielder under steven gerrard has improved a lot and who's to say he'll not kick on and get better again. Wee_bear, didn't our manager wax lyrical about ryan jack's performances in the europa league group stages this year? Yes he did mate and quite rightly so! I'm not for a minute saying kamara, davis and arfield are not very good midfielders, because undoubtedly they are, but ryan jack most definitely deserves his place in our team, beside them. Give the guy some credit. Our manager certainly rates him and likes him, that's for sure!

I'm surprised that some posts don't rate Ryan Jack. The guy does all the dirty work. Every team needs a player like that we would be a poorer team without him imo.

We’d definitely be a poorer team just now but we need to improve all areas of the squad to be European regulars is all I’m saying. This includes Jack, every window we should look to improve 2/ 3 players in the starting 11, jacks time will come but he is doing ok. I agree every team needs one of these guys but we should be scouting a better replacement for every position in the team, it’s how we will become top dog again. Also SuperCooper I believe it was the qualifiers that SG was raving about Jack, not the group stage where we won one game.

I'm not saying I don't rate jack, far from it. What I am saying is that kamara davis arfield are better than jack and if we are to improve in midfield then I reckon jack would be the one who would be replaced. 👍.

Not often I agree with coop but I really rate jack. Think he's a bit of an unsung hero for us. I'd think the midfield we've got now, with the addition of Docherty and rossiter to the 1st team squad will be how we line up for Europa league qualifiers.

The rapid vienna performance was in the group game from ryan jack wee_bear. He played well in most games he played in europe for us mate.

Let’s be honest, if our midfielders were good enough, would we be where we are, 2nd to the worst Celtic team we’ve come up against in recent years. Jack takes too long moving the ball forward, kamara coming in has helped jack look better, don’t be fooled!
It’s not jacks fault, he tried his hardest but if we stuck by who tries the hardest instead of ability we will still be 2nd and I’m sure we all don’t want that.

To be fair that midfield has only just been established and the 4 of them compliment each other perfectly. Like the man that matters, Steven Gerrard, I really rate Jack and think he has been exceptional this season.

would have to disagree with the majority here. ryan jack is better than kamara all round. yes maybe Kamara look better on the ball. but the work rate jack puts in and all the dirty work. Kamara is not capable of doing. looks way to lightweight in games kamara v the teams at the top end of table. Still a good player though. But ryan jack along with Arfield would be 2 of the 1st names on the team sheet for me.

Jack has had a great season. He does the sort of work on the pitch that often doesn't look good or leads to glory but he is a 100% man. For me, the jury is still out on Kamara. Very skilful and classy but if he plays tomorrow then let's see how performs. Arfield will sort Broon out tomorrow no bother and Davis is now showing his class. As someone else posted, I am looking forward to Docherty and Rossiter coming back and with Murphy too we'll have great competition in midfield. Leave Jack alone - he is a future Rangers captain!

1872 what's cost us is inexperienced! we can in my opinion play the best football in the league one week then the next just think we can turn up and win! well football isn't like that and every game against us is a cup final to these teams! we need 2 or 3 more experienced league winners brought in to add that fighting mentality then we might get somewhere? but this team now have shown they can play some exciting attacking football and dominate when in the mood.

i don't think anyone is rubbishing Jack but at the same time and same goes for any player surely as the manager said, he would only bring in players who would improve the team. so if someone is better than what we have, and it isn't having a go at anyone, then why wouldn't we replace.

Jack is IN the team on form but to say he would ALWAYS have a place in the midfield is UTTER RUBBISH. If he’s not playing well he won’t be picked. Absolutely NO ONE is safe in this team under Gerrard. NO ONE.

Definitely not a thread to bash Ryan Jack, for me he has been outstanding for most of the season but for going forward as a previous poster said a bit of ruthlessness is required to get 55, having Ryan Jack as a back up option would show a pretty decent depth of squad in my eyes. Rusnak will probably never be a target but I urge you all to try and catch some highlights, a fantastic watch and for me what we should be looking at.
