Tell you what people I've not had a tear in my eyes for many years but after seeing Fernando my eyes were streaming if there really was a god he woudnt let this illness happen to any one I badly hurt for the guy at this time .

It's horrible to see a guy like that, only a young guy, an athlete and a fierce competitor on the pitch destroyed by that illness they way Fernando has been, I can't even begin to imagine what his family are going through. Its great to see such support for him and brings a little bit of joy to such a horrible situation, knowing Fernando is still able of mind to see all the messages of support towards him. God bless Fernando Ricksen and all affected by MND.

Agree with the comments re Fernando. Do we know why is he being treated in Scotland rather than Holland?

He is being treated in Scotland because Southern General have a MND specific treatment centre. There is one in Holland, but in Hague. Long way. I'm only guessing here, but don't know health costs if any in Holland but Scotland certainly free. These are for most part guesses really. IAH.

DEEB, It's well documented why he "CAN'T" go home to Spain, he was at a rangers fans event and got ill thus stopping him from been able to travel. so he was put in airdrie care home that he choose for the quality of care he would and is receiving.

a quick read of any article regarding Fernando Ricksen u will clearly read that and know of it. regardless, your question to me is a huge bit of disrespect towards our support and Fernando. any half decent fan knows every detail of Fernando's illness and how he is where he is as it's well documented as I say in every article about him.
