I hope these rumours about signing skirtel aren't true. The money and high wages would be far better spent on an out and out striker. We have plenty cover in the centre of defence already.

Different scenario Paul. We needed a 4th centre back when we signed helander, skrtel would be overkill and would all but end someone's career at the club.

Agreed boli. but with gerrard last year sayin goldson his number 1 centre half (even tho i know think he's potentially the worst) i can see us shelling out that cash on helander to sit on the bench.

Katic could have a massive year. He’s always looked decent for me and so far he’s a standout player.

Is helander better paul? I have seen him play once. Katic on form is currently the best CB we have just now. Need to wait and see how helander gets on before that decision is made. 👍.
