First time post. So far as I'm aware, Rangers have no connection with the Orange Order and therefore it has always seemed strange to me that the club and genuine fans tolerate the singing of some songs which are predominantly associated with that organisation and bands who follow them. We have plenty of good songs relative to our club for fans to sing and support the team. This is the 21st century and there is no place for the tribalism which some people think acceptable in our club, football or society in general. Rangers were and should always strive to be the benchmark as a club and as an institution. Unfortunately we seem to be losing that status due to the repeated unacceptable conduct of some of our support. Onwards and upwards and here's hoping we can rid ourselves of these issues and once again become the respected club and organisation respected the world over.

Have you done any research into the songs that were in trouble for b4 posting? None of which i would say are OO songs. The billy boys is our song everybody knows the back ground of the song. Obviously rangers have there own pc version that used to be on old VHS videos. And the other song were being punished for is we are rangers super rangers everybody knows rest. don't sound like OO song either.

I have had same 2 seats in club deck for 28 years and barring the odd moronic interloper, behaviour of the section is exemplary. So why are we shunted again It feels like club deck fans who incidentally pay a premium for their seats are consistently those affected when sections of the stadium are closed. The clubs statement is clear and I as a proper Rangers fan understand that someone has to take the hit on behalf of the idiots so me and my son will get on with it and take one for the team. Hopefully the imbeciles who bring shame on us and in doing so ensure Celtic get an easy ride in the media will just crawl off and haunt somewhere else.

Truefan I could not have put it better, the people who live in the past and sing these songs either stop singing them or stop attending Ibrox the club does not need you, you bring nothing but shame to our club so stop have a think about it and decide.

FYI, until relatively recently the Orange Order held an annual Church parade at Ibrox Stadium, obviously sanctioned by our club. And, we're not talking about the KuKlux Klan or the National Front here, as if they are some sort radical movement, as the tone would imply. That said, I do agree that the songs have no place at our games and we have plenty of amazing songs we can sing. There is a time and a place for the other songs if people are that way inclined, just not at our matches.

Agree 100%. a large contingent come from NI and bring there bile with them, save money stay at home and support your own club not The Famous GLASGOW RANGERS.

Supporters buses need to stop playing all the UVF and anti catholic, king billy crap as well.

They’re not a million miles away from the KKK or the NF. They’re an institution whose primary motivation is the celebration of religious wars from hundreds of years ago. Absolutely backwards and anyone with a semblance of intelligence should be absolutely embarrassed to have any association with them.

The songs need to go, i sang them as a teenager but not as an adult and religious hatred was certainly not my reasoning for signing them, I feel no I’ll will to anyone because of their religion but I cannot go Celtic fans, and I hate them as a club despite many of my closest friends supporting them, I separate this from our friendship and I actually have great banter with them involving the rivalry. I’m sure they feel the same about Rangers! We need the club to produce a banned list of songs I feel and take it from there. The songs may take a generation to die out but the club has taken the lead and I congratulate them on it!
