a bit of trivia you may be able to help me with? have rangers ever had to play in a european competition (apart from a final) at a neutral ground? i do remember an away tie against shelbourne was there anymore? and where? cheers lads.

That was Shelbourne I think Yately. 3 down and came back to win 5-3! Was it not at the start of Advocaat's reign? Gabby Amato's first game I think. He came off the bench to turn the tie. Brilliant player!

I am sure during 60s .70s a draw over two legs meant a replay at neutral ground. STUTTGART rings a bell for some reason.

Can't remember who it was against without going through my old programme collection (showing my age now), but we played a European team at Arsenal's Highbury back in the 60's as well.
