Apparently young Maxwell who signed a contract extension with us is training with the first team. Plus we have Halliday and Flanagan that can cover LB.

RM - Ojo/ JJones/ Barker/ Middleton/ Grezda/ Arfield/ Aribo/ Stewart not enough so far? Think wing/ RAM we have more than enough cover these days.

firmly agree that we need a back up striker, concerned we may not be able to sign up Defoe!

Halliday and Flannagin aren't good enough for the first team. Maybe Flannagin could be kept at RB cover but not left. Halliday is a wasted wage.

@paulellen - He's on loan and the loan runs out this Jan i believe? I assume at this stage it's a case of, does Bournemouth want to sell him to us with 6month left on his contract or can we buy it out and get him to reduce his wage. Might be 100% wrong about that, but that was what i thought was the case? Anyone no any different?

Teddy Defoe contract is with Bournemouth till June 1st, we can sign him in January on a bowman, no fee to Bournemouth.
There is a recall facility if they wanted him back in January, we would be mad to sign him in January by buying out contract, makes absolutely no financial sense at all.
