Always read the rumours, banter but never posted

Kai Kennedy - would love to see getting a decent run out as he definitely has the potential

Jones - ok its first game back but he was honking,

Ojo- can't see him getting any better, no matter how much time he needs he's not up there

Patterson - should be in place ahead of Polster, Flanagan, will only get better with more game time

Barker - same as jones

Anyone disagree.

Probably very unpopular opinion but I think John Flanagan is our strongest right back. Obviously doesn't offer the same going forward but defensively I think he is our strongest. I won't be surprised if he starts on Wednesday night.

Kennedy and Patterson, undoubted quality and will continue to improve, not now as the pressure of performing consistently is too much for some of the senior players and it becomes make or break for their career, too much on their young shoulders IMO, but should be bled into the team gradually and given opportunities over the course of the season.

Can’t disagree with the rest, Ojo is no use, has ability but just doesn’t do much, Stewart is not much better and if it was my choice I’d utilise Defoe ahead of him. Jones was just back, but he was torture. Barker, I didn’t see the point when we brought him in and based on performances I still don’t see the point tbh.

Expect young boy Patterson to start against St Mirren and Flanagan to start at Hearts.

Not much to base this on apart from glimpses. Got a feeling Gerrard to Ojo out the firing line and think he might have a decent impact 2nd half of the season.

I’d play Flanagan in league games till tav is brought back, Flanagan rib yesterday against queens.
