Ive just been asked this question. "Do you think Borna Barisic is up for the fight because it seems when the going gets tough he is always injured? "

I won't tell you how i responded for now and let's get others opinions on that first. It was definitely a heavy challenge he took last night btw.

Don’t think many players could carry on after a Kung fu kick to the back.

I did say to the fella beside me last night that your Davy Robertsons or Arthur Numane wouldn't be as easily injured. However, I think we have to accept that today's modern footballer is more athlete than footballer and as such need to be fully fit to perform to potential.

That was a right good thump he took though, happened right beside me and you heard the wind being knocked out of big Borna.

I still can't talk yet and am like the cat that got the cream, I can't stop smiling. My team won and I have a suitcase full of square sausage and Morton's rolls lol.

I've thought for some time Barisic, tho I rate him highly, has a bit of a glass jaw.

Do you think that the mob across the city are going to have to play by the same rules as the rest of Europe last night was one that they would have got away with any other time sooner we get var the sooner we get back to a level playing field.

Good response Cletus. My response was similar. There is so much data provided about players training and match performance that i think genuine injuries would be easily noticed. Most players these days won't play unless close to 100%. There are exceptions to this though.

Glad youve got your sausage and rolls Cletus. Did you find a chippy since Blue Lagoon closed down?

Right in front of us last night. Borna was assaulted. A straight red for me. To say he got injured easily or has a glass jaw on this occasion is completely infantile and ridiculous. Our supporters are so bloody fickle. Don’t let positivity get in the way of a negative outlook. Ref wasn’t interested though. His booking of Morelos was an absolute joke, thought he was poor. VAR not used once either.

Barasic is definetly up for the battle.
That was a sore one he took last night and i'm not surprised he had to go off.
The amount of times he gets clattered in 90 mins is unbelievable for an attacking left back and he still gets on with it.
In Borna Bear we trust.
Ask the Croatia manager 😁.

Ibrox4me

Your right mate - the kick on Borna was shocking looked like it was right in the kidney area

And the yellow card on Morelos - well there all told before hand no hand gestures and no complaining
But the ref was just waiting to card him at first opportunity

Refereeing has went right down hill across the board
Can’t watch a decent game of football without the refs making massive blunders these days

The best response was getting the 3 goals and winning the match

And will be even sweeter to get into next stage.

Barasic has been getting booted up and down the park over the last couple of months, with referees letting it go or giving the opposition a telling off instead of a card. So i hardly think he has a glass jaw.
