What is your thoughts?

{Ed033's Note - Don't you know, i'm the conspiracy site Ed, not a Rangers specialist.

Just a guess, but i would imagine that Steven Gerrard initially thought that he would come to Rangers, implement what he's experienced at the top of the English Premier League, win the SPFL and that would hopefully impress any English Premier League D.O.F. looking for a new Manager. Then get offered the Manager position and leave Rangers i.e. copy Brendan Rodgers.

But it's not that easy, so from Steven Gerrard's point of view, he has to try and win the SPFL next season.

And If i'm the Rangers Board, am i going to give him another season; all things considered, yes, i think so.

Ed, I respect your post. Everyone wants Gerrard to succeed at Rangers obviously, he's a likeable fella, he speaks well and has sold season tickets etc. Fact is he has failed to win a trophy over 2 years and that is a failure. Is it because he's Steven Gerrard that he deserves another year because if he was anyone else he would be finished at Rangers.

{Ed033's Note - Don't you think you got some incite into what the Board was thinking when 4 years was offered to Gerrard? I think that says that they're prepared to give Gerrard more time than usual to a manager, probably because he might be able to attract some good players, might be able to get a decent player in because of his Liverpool connections, and the Board don't know who else they could get in who's decent to manage Rangers.
