Here's a question for the covenanter and all us bears in general. As both the covenanter and myself have stated how very highly we rated our former captain barry ferguson what do we think/ see in his midfield nephew lewis ferguson? I rated baz as the best scottish midfielder of the last 25 years and the covenanter rated baz as the best rangers player this century, both glowing reports from us you'll agree. A lot define lewis ferguson of having a bit of his dad derek's ability as well as having pieces of his game similar to his uncle barry. The covenanter how highly do you rate lewis ferguson yourself and do you think we should try and sign him? Also and here's a one, do you think at their best barry was a better midfielder than his brother derek?

Coops lewis is not in the same league as his dad or uncle yet? I say yet as he is only a young lad but at his age both Barry and derek were miles better. I shall also say that ian durrant was better than both derek and Barry before his horrific injury. All about opinions mate.

Lewis Ferguson is raw and rash and does not carry the skill like Barry. He's a decent player but not good enough for Rangers.

SGL, first of all, even Derek said Barry was the better player. As for Lewis, of all the players in Scotland right now playing with a club outwith the Old Firm, he is the one I would sign. He is strong and energetic, passes the TIPS test (technique, intelligence, pace, strength) and in the right environment has a lot more to come. He also has a pedigree, which is a bonus.

They call the midfield the engine room for a reason and in this modern game you need a good variety in there and Ferguson would be another option, especially if Kamara goes and Davis fades to being a bit player. So we've almost sorted the middle, now how about up front, mate? DON'T SAY DKYES!

No real comparison between Barry and Derek. And for the poster who recently said he was a crap player in England, he was often a star man for Blackburn although he was unlucky the amount of injuries he picked up while there. He also helped Birmingham beat Arsenal to win the League Cup, so hardly crap.

He was named in Birmingham city’s best 11 of the last 20years by there own fans so they loved him and he was excellent for them.

Covenanter I think the answer to your question about up front is BREWSTER! The latest temp import from the pool following on from greats like Ejaria and Ohno!

It's pretty clear on here what I think of Barry Ferguson. Anybody calling him crap is either at it or has a minus IQ. The wee man was a superb player who had everything (well maybe he wasn't the best header of a ball! ) .

I loved wee Durrant and also Derek and Ian Ferguson but I think Barry was another level again. Tbh, because I don't tend to watch the sheep, apart from when they play us, I don't really know much about Lewis, but can't say I thought he ever really stood out against us.

Obviously scored that cup goal against us but apart from that, not much tbh. I will say that if he is even half as good as his uncle we should sign him up right away. On a final note, the fact that the Birmingham fans named Barry in their best team of the last 20 years and Mark Hughes fought tooth and nail to hang onto him when he came back home for big Eck tells me how highly rated he was. Brilliant, brilliant player. Makes peanut heid look like an amateur.

The covenanter, i said rangers should sign lyndon dykes as an option at times in certain games, as a different option mate. I never said that dykes should be considered as rangers no.1 striker at anytime. If our no.1 striker alfredo morelos were to be sold, i would like the big austrian striker grbic, but i think he would cost us way too much. I also think if at last saido berahino has settled down and screwed the nut i wouldn't mind us signing him. He undoubtedly has the talent and is starting to prove the good striker we all remember he was at west brom.
Lyle Taylor looks a decent striker also.

Yes fauldhoose bear ian durrant was an absolute superb attacking midfielder before that a******e Simpson done him, up at that s*******e pittodrie! However ian durrant and barry ferguson were different types of midfielders mate!
Two fantastic midfielders in their own right though! 👌👍.

For a couple of seasons when he was young BF was world class and still my favourite player. DF was a great player and if he had BF’s attitude and mentality when you young would have been a Rangers legend. Fall outs with Souness and impatience meant he lost his way.

Lewis not in the same league as DF and BF but could be an option for us later in his career if he works at his game. If he was on a free he would be a good option but there is no way he is worth 2m.
