Shankland scored 24 league goals for Dundee Utd until the season was abruptly halted. Dykes scored 9 and Cosgrove 11 in the SPL. Apart from playing the Old Firm, there isn't that much difference in level between the rest of the SPL teams and the Championship teams. If we are going to sign another striker (hoping Morelos stays) then surely Shankland would be the better bet?

Shankland is good at scoring - in the lower leagues.

I’d have Shankland before Cosgrove or Dykes any day!
