Well considering it is actually a trophy Paul and the teams obviously agree to enter the tournament for the trophy then I'd be willing to guess yes they do count it as a trophy, meaningless yes none the less still a trophy.

I was brought up to believe that whatever and whenever Rangers are involved in then we support them 110% - that is what loyal and true supporters do. Most posters on here are of a similar mindset to me, but some OMG - RFC are invited to a tournament in France, a tournament where the winners is presented with A TROPHY in full light of the media, and yet certain Rangers supporters besmirch and denigrate their achievement - I thought that that level of support was left to cfc and Sutton!

Let’s just enjoy the moment - if we had been thrashed then I could understand negative comments from our own’support’.

Gazzaloyal we didn’t win the Florida cup We lost it on goal difference.

Coldo and Paul are right it doesn’t count it’s a meaningless friendly tournament to help with fitness.

GazaLoyal - you really have to wonder at their intentions. They snipe Rangers at every turn. They snipe at players we may or may not sign. They snipe at players we have signed. They snipe at our manager. They snipe at his tactics. All mostly unjustified. I did not hear any of them moaning that we were invited and going to a tourney - they only moaned that we had won it - you really couldn’t make this up, neither you could.

We ALL support Rangers and we always want them to win, well most of us!

how can friendlies that help with fitness be meaningless? would you prefer we didn't play friendlies and go in cold at the start of the season. some people really should see things for what they are, its a trophy that we won, i prefer that to one that we lose.

Geesa we played plenty four teams tourneys at ibrox, emirates cup and others. We don’t bum about winning them. However, we r Rangers we play to win every game.

We do play to win every game, but someone said yesterday "finally first trophy under gerrard" its not because its not really a trophy, he hasn't won anything of note yet. We did great in both friendly wins, two good sides, and we looked comfortable. 👍.

Gazzaloyal what’s the point in mentioning the Florida cup It would have been pointless as this trophy.
Let’s get real here only one trophy matters this season.
Do I expect the club to only try and win that and not the league cup of Scottish cup? No I don’t as we play to win the lot but it still doesn’t mean this trophy we won at Lyon means anything.
