Lads, quick question. Say we get 15m for Morelos and if our next most valuable player Barisic went for 15m and we spend another combined 7/ 8m on a new first choice left back and another midfielder like Zungu or Ljubicic. Would fans be happy with that? Let's not quibble about Morelos and Barisic value. If we get 30m for the pair and bring in Hagi, Bassey, Mclaughlin, Roofe, Itten, Balogun plus a midfielder and left back for under 20m. Are we happy with this?

For the record I don't want Barasic to go. i'm just considering big picture and I've got splinters in my arse from sitting on the fence.

Depends on the replacement for borna but I would not be adverse to that.

Would rather it was tav that left tho.

Borna is a top player and year your looking at north of 15mill just for delivery he puts in. I do think this will be his last season with us.

I don't even have any suggestions for Borna replacement if it happened jsijenkins. I like Tav but probably agree with you that if we were to lose a full back he would be easier to replace than Borna.

No wouldn't be happy with that barasic is no far off 30 million himself and if both players left then chance of 55 is slim to nil.

I think to a degree we have to be happy. We are a selling club and as long as we make money but maintain a fairly strong squad then so be it.
I loved van bronkhurst but off he went and was replaced.

We can’t sell our best 2 players in the same season and still expect to win anything, I think the only reason we’re contemplating selling Morelos is because of his attitude, the only way we should sell Barisic is if someone offers crazy money and by that I mean £30m that sounds crazy I know but I think he’s a better left back than tierney and he went for 25m I don’t care about the C.V. top dollar no exceptions or he stays and gets even more assists than last year.

I like Tav but he scares the rubbish outta me, it's as if he's thinks he's in the premiership with superfast centre halves to cover his ass when he pushes the ball too far in front. This happens most matches. Feel rotten writing this as he's the clubs captain anyone feel same.

I don’t think any PL teams will come in for tav, he is a bomb scare at times and you get punished big time at that level.

I think we will have Borna this season but yeah can’t see us turning down 15m if it came in. Hope we have him this season at least, but he is 27 now so if selling it would need to be shortly to maximise value.

I seem to remember was it Kenny dalgliesh that said Charlie adams left peg was worth £20m alone, so by that account barrasic is £40m.
I believe we will get £20m next year for him if he improves again this year.

Guys, why is it that every day we have certain people looking at scenarios where Tavernier, Barisic, and Morelos could be sold, and who would replace them. SG and RW have brought in strong recruits to the squad, why don't we just stop speculating and leave the team to these guys, believe it or not, they know more than any of us. Bassey, as far as I am aware is two footed, and could slot in to either full back position, I think he will do a job for us this season. Clubs will have to meet our valuation of players or they won't be going anywhere, McCrorie, Middleton, Docherty, and possibly Murphy appear to not be in SG's plans, and this should be moved on to free up wages, and also for their own career prospects, just an opinion guys.

It was a hypothetical question irvger. Nobody is speculating that Borna will be sold. I started the thread simply to start a discussion around what if. Borna is our best player in my opinion right now and good players always attract attention.
