I think we have to face facts--Scottish football is a joke. 8 players from Aberdeen go on a night out and what do we have--an absolute shambles going forward and who the heck will want to play against them now --Mcinnes should be punished for this, no doubt in my mind "Where are you going tonight boys"? "Out on the town boss"! "oh ok have fun". This is just the beginning as winter approaches every player in the top league should be under strict orders to stay home and act socially responsible when venturing out as we have to do -A shambles well done the sheep. BAAHHH!

Mcinnes should be punished Why him it’s the players who broke the rules they are adults they should know why blame their manager I’m sure he didn’t know where they were you could see he was livid in his interview.

Why should mcinnes get punished? How do you know he asked them particular 8 where they were going that night. I am not minnes biggest fan but there is no way he sanctioned a night out when they are ment to be isolating in football bubble.

So Sturgeon calls the Aberdeen behaviour 'totally unacceptable' and the SPFL fail to punish them.

This is why I keep banging on about how Scottish football has to agree to rules ASAP regarding the C.V. crisis - actually they should have been announced before last Saturday. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this is another season that doesn't fully conclude.

I agree to an extent that Mcinnes should be punished. He should be punished in house by Aberdeen if that's what you mean. When I used to be a manager if one or more of my staff were disorderly I would discipline them but if it was serious enough my area director would be asking serious questions of me and why that happened in one of my units. I would effectively carry the blame.

To be honest its just really irresponsible and i'm pleased with the way wee Nicola has called them out. Football at the highest level was allowed back under strict instructions and part of that was that the players don't have the same freedoms that we have. They aren't supposed to be out and about. Its supposed to be training and home and that's it. Its a privilege to be a footballer but I do get the frustrations they must have that they aren't allowed out but that's the sacrifice they have to make just now and if they break those rules then shame on them.

Not going to get into a political debate but wee Nicky loved the Aberdeen boys going out to take the heat off the exam fiasco. McInnes is a doughnut but to say he should be blamed for the idiocy of his players is a farce.

The manager should not be punished he can’t and won’t watch over his players 24:7 it’s ridiculous and ludicrous to even think he should.

Ok SGL you clearly don't like Mcinnes but if he was the Rangers manager would you be the Delboy Loyal on here? 😉👍.

Why the **** does everybody want to punish Aberdeen at club level, and Mcinnes in particular. Arse tho he is you don't know his input. Some on here stating he knew of his players plans, sanctioned them irrespective of risk. Fans on here blowing this into club being sanctioned issue for players actions. This needs to kept in perspective.

Penrith bear, i back anyone who comes to work for rangers because i have always given my club total backing for many years! But i have never rated mcinnes as a future rangers manager and not to mention although i'm glad he did turn the rangers manager's job down, the things he said about the club he always claimed to be a massive supporter of. No not for me and the sheep are most welcome to him!

Might as well just demote Aberdeen to the bottom league and reinstate Hearts, Thistle and Stranraer to their original leagues. Problem solved!

Cant punish mcinnes for adults making a balls up but the other thing is st johnstone shouldn't have been given a 3 nil win, aberdeen shouldn't have had to forfeit the game etc. Just keep the game on and they would have just had to use reserve/ youth team players. Simple as that different if there was not enough players throughout the club, but as long as they are able to field 11 players on a pitch, game should stay on.
