What are your options for any punishment to Celtic and Aberdeen due to C.V. breaches.

IMO there should not be a points deduction or bans for the players as the teams did not gain any advantage.

Ok Celtic played Boli against Kilmarnock, will this be the viewd as the same as fielding an ineligible player

All I think will happens is a fine and warning.

Both clubs never knew there players went awol. Slap on wrists is all they will get. Zero chance of points deduction.

**** all will happen. If they can't fulfill the missed fixtures though then 3-0 defeat should be applied.

Nothing at all, they will wait for a Rangers or hearts player to fall,
Truth is football players are young, got a few quid and stupid in the main, in boils case totally arrogant, still can’t believe you make a clear and educated, no pun intended, decision to go to Spain and come back and say sorry I made a mistake, no you didn’t mate you tried to get away with it, unfortunately no club can be held responsible for a halfwits stupidity.

Aberdeen shouldn't really b deducted points as to be fair they didn't actually play those players after the incident and also they can't b accountable for a players actions 24hrs a day, however celtic DID play an ineligible player! and even if they didn't realise he was ineligible i don't suppose legia were aware they were breaking any rules when brininging on a player who turned out to be ineligible in a tie that they already led easily in.

Paul86 - Aberdeen perhaps could get away with that. however to get your passport you need to ask for it from the club, as they hold onto it for European travel etc - Celtic would have known. he was ineligible and played - 3-0 aberdeen.

I’m not very sure at all that a club holds onto your passport, which is a legal document belonging only to you, in fact I know that is incorrect totally as so many clubs have had players at airport who have left they’re passports at home, many have done that even in my playing days in lower leagues I know of players who were sent home to train with the kids when they forgot their passports.

And how would Celtic have known, then absolutely slaughtered him and lemon almost shaking with rage, not unusual I know, but to say they knew is quite ridiculous mate, obviously they knew nothing at all.

No rules in place = no punishment.

Don't forget guys, Celtic got through a Champions League tie when 6-1 down because Legia Warsaw played an illegible player for 3 minutes, so I am amazed at the sympathy being shown here, if it was us, the Media, and Fans of ever would be all over it.

Celtic also supplied the club car to take Bolingoli to and from the airport apparently. He was clearly there for transfer talks and Celtic knew about it.

If you don’t fulfil fixtures then points reduction. The teams they were to play didn’t break rules and now have to fit in games later, that’s not fair on them. As for Bolingoli, the Mankies knew he was away. they have his passport and anyone leaving for Spain has to complete paperwork 48 hrs in advance to be allowed into the country and the same for coming back. It wasn’t a day trip to Millport he went.
But hey ho SPFL will no doubt do he haw.

BAR72 I have never heard of clubs keeping passports think that is BS.

{Ed001's Note - the player liaison officer usually has to spend most of their time trying to collect passports before any European games. It would not be legal for the clubs to hold onto passports.}

Not only have I heard of clubs keeping passports, I've seen it. It's a purely voluntary thing that some younger players from abroad take advantage of. Some of them leave their passport with their agent or a club official. And it's not illegal, if I want to leave my passport with my neighbour for safekeeping I can do so.
Whether or not it was the case in this instance nobody knows, but I find it highly improbable that a club at that level had no idea where their player was.

{Ed001's Note - what is your point? You are clearly too busy trying to sound like you are in the know (as usual) that you missed the point. The poster above claimed that the club always keeps the passports and players have to ask for them back if they are going anywhere. Not true, players are in charge of their own passports and can do what they like with them. That includes asking the club to take care of them or their neighbour. It would be illegal for the club to always keep their passports and withhold them from players, just like it would be if your neighbour refused to give your passport back. Players do not need permission to go abroad. And the club official is usually a player liaison officer, as I pointed out above.}
