Wee idea here guys, clearly it won't happen but Macclesfield town were wound up today owing debts of more than half a million pounds. Would it not be a great move by rangers to go in and buy the club for the outstanding debts and transfer the so-called "b squad" to play in the national league in England with our youngsters and fringe players transferring to this other club under the umbrella of a rangers football group similar to that of red bull and of Man City . Would that not be a great move. I'm aware of the legal hurdles regarding owning 2 clubs in 1 continent
Etc but they have now clearly been overcome by others so it can be done. What's other bears thoughts on this?

Sounds a great idea but like you say probably to many legal obstacles to overcome. Would have been able to send players like McCrorie and Docherty there and give them the game time they need to develop rather than sell them for peanuts.

Man City owners own more that one club in the same continent.

Don’t think the English FA would allow it.

Agreed to every comment above guys but red bull own in Austria and Germany (Europe) Man City own girona I think again (Europe) it’s do-able. And it’s the kind of thing we should be looking at. For a little more than the price of Ross McCrorie we could have 1 foot in English football and our youngsters have the platform perform and or impress and sell. I’m no more than a fan but if I had half a foot in the door at Ibrox I’d be shouting this from the rooftop.

I think the way things are going there will be clubs higher up the pecking order if we were to go down that route.
Would shorten the route to EPL, but we would still need ££££ to make sure we get there.

Stevie g is worth about 50million. I'm sure he could buy it. As I said ages ago, I believe Stevie g made a personal deal between Liverpool and RFC for the purchase of Kent. He could easily help finance any deal. going to pump em the night.
