This is just a hypothetical question for you guys.
Given the current form of our team and our captain, would anyone have Daniel Candeias back in the team?
He linked up superbly with tav, worked his socks off, was a willing runner and always tracked back to help out defence.
I know I’ll get slated for this and be told he wasn’t good enough to take us forward but from what I’ve seen of jones and barker, they aren’t any sort of upgrade on candeias.

He was missed when he left for a while that’s for sure, he would not get in the side now, we have adapted our tactics now to get tav forward and have cover for him when out of position. So in a nutshell no because of the depth and performance of our current squad and tactical improvements made.

Absolutely not. He was moved on because he wasnt good enough, we are stonger now. I don't even think he'd make our bench.

I was under the impression that Gerrard was willing to keep him but as a squad player and he wasn’t willing to sit on the bench and that’s why he left.

No way although he did bring something to that team at that time. Barker will prove to be a significant upgrade. The less said about Jones the better.

We missed him last season I thought. But the teams evolved and adapted and I sgree with the lads he'd struggle to get a game for us.

Same as barker then? Only barker hasn’t got the assist or goal record candeias had he’s hopeless. I’d have liked him to stay don’t know if he’s fit enough or good enough to come back that’s a diff ball game but he’s have played ahead of Shey Ojo and barker anyway.
