A wee something different here guys. Got talking late last night about remembering where my mates and we were when rangers actually signed mo johnston. That signing was stunning and stopped work places producing, that day! Hand on heart i thought mojo was a terrific striker and adding him at that time to the 2 terrific strikers we had in ally mccoist and mark hateley was showing the power and strength/ dominance under sooooouness, we had as a club 👌A lot of our supporters were raging when souness eventually dropped coisty and played the hateley/ johnston partnership. A lot of our supporters at the time took it out on hateley taking mccoist's position when it was actually mo johnston who was preferred to ally 🤔Hateley was always going to play as he offered the perfect foil for either/ or mccoist or johnston! It got us then debating who was the best/ most natural goalscorer/ finisher, we'd ever seen at ibrox?
I had absolutely no doubt that IMHO it was marco "goalo" negri 👌To be fair most agreed, but a couple of others still said it was super ally. let's see what you guys think, who would be your pick/ choice and why? 🤔.

Best and most natural goalscorer in my lifetime is without any shadow of a doubt Ally McCoist.

For me it was definitely Ally mate. Negri did not produce it for anywhere near long enough to be considered. I actually have an issue with Negri and how he still hangs onto the few months he gave our club an turns out at all the legends games as if he belongs there. He did have a really good few months when joining but that was what it was, a few months then after that he could not get himself or could not be bothered getting himself fit enough to play again.

McCoist 100%.

4.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 10:22:50
No over the period of time of course mccoist was the greatest ever rangers goalscorer, that's not what i'm meaning guys! I'm meaning from what i saw of negri he to me looked an even more natural goalscorer/ finisher than anyone i'd seen at ibrox 🤔.

Yip coisty, the scurge of celtic.

6.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 10:45:42
Coop if you knew anything about football you would know it was coist😉🤣.

I was actually working in the piggery the day wee mo signed, got to say it was the best day at work ever, although the place was empty you could still sense something had happened.

8.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 10:58:24
Super Ally - continually did it every season.

9.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 11:58:15
Definitely McCoist.

10.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 12:10:16
Super ally but Kris Boyd needs a mention as well as Negri all great finishers hard to pick the best one.

11.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 12:13:06
And defoe simply for that finish against livi sublime 🇬🇧.

12.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 12:19:31
Cambiger negri does my head in haha. Trying to keep himself relevant amd associated with the club as a 'legend' playin in every benefit match going. Tad annoying.

13.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 12:27:57
Got to be McCoist, also think Defoe is up there.

14.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 12:30:54
Not even worth a debate that! Negri achieved nothing at our club and nor perceives himself as a Rangers legend. Ally McCoist had it all and a real LEGEND🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

15.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 12:54:34
Boyds scoring record in Scotland is nothing short of Phenomenal but its Super ally for me! We'll never know about Negri he was some goal scorer tho.

16.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 13:09:00
I honestly think most of your fellow bears are actually missing the point what i'm meaning 🤔I agree mccoist without a shadow of a doubt is rangers legendary, greatest goalscorer. I believe negri was a better more natural finisher that's all guys and IF he was at rangers the length of time the 'super' one was there, i truly think injury permitting he would have blitzed coisty's record 🤔 Hypothetical though it is guys!

17.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 13:37:20
Billy dodds and Rod Wallace 😁.

18.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 13:55:19
What do you mean "injury permitting"?
The guy didn't want to play for us regardless of what p@#h he's spouted since he threw his toys out the pram. His injury wasn't the reason, his stinking attitude was!

19.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 14:16:59
I agree BMGH and think the disruption he caused was one of the main reasons we never got to 10. Having said that the main point was about natural goal scorers and he was definitely that, just had one of the worst attitudes I've ever seen in a footballer, couldn't even be Ars@d celebrating when he scored.

20.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 14:32:20
BMGH01 Correct mate he couldn’t get out of Ibrox quick enough And as far a legend he ain’t and never will be. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

21.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 14:34:20
What do i mean injury permitting BMGH01 🤔 Common mate how can i spell it out any better, but i'll try for you. If negri played with the famous, the same number of years as super ally did, without any length of time out through a/ or many longterm injuries, then i believe he would have scored more than even the wonderful amount ally did in his 15 years or so with rangers 👌.

22.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 14:59:11
Exactly cunny and cambiger! The guy was a waster who could have achieved so much more with us, but chose not to. His injury wasn't why he never went on to better things, that's just crap.

23.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 15:12:32
SGL. That is your belief re Negri as he was a good goal scorer, But to say he would have beaten Ally’s goals is fantasy, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

24.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 15:19:26
Negri career with, gers rather short and detached hower successful and TBH rather forgotten. Mcoist, like my nomme de plume will live forever in gers folklore.

25.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 15:23:46
Oh dear! Even for you coops, this one takes the biscuit. It's a moot point, there is absolutely no substance to your argument.

26.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 15:27:43
Cambiger, the selling of paul gascoigne cost us 10iar, no doubt about it mate!

27.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 15:28:22
I totally agree with you MBW 👌.

28.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 16:04:21
It takes the biscuit, that IMO i think negri is a more natural finisher than ally mccoist, behave yourself mate, its an opinion pal🤔
I love ally mccoist and have been to watch him often enough to know how good a longevity goalscorer he was for our magnificent club. Yes our record goalscorer of all time and that's not what may opinion was regarding 🤔Many many a cracking night out coisty gave me and my gers buddies, with his goalscoring ability in trophy winning games and old firm games, over my many years of watching the famous. God i even have my brick on the ally mccoist panel at the copland road stand! You're totally missing my point, which i hope IS intentional by your good self 🤔 Otherwise i can't explain my opinion/ point any easier for you pal🤔.

29.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 16:21:07
Coops, my recollection of Gaza’s final season are not good on the pitch with his behaviour off the park becoming more unacceptable.

30.) 25 Nov 2020
25 Nov 2020 17:27:29
I don't want to get into an argument with you, but it's a total moot point mate. If Negri was committed to Rangers, and he wanted to play for us, then yes he would have scored many goals, but he never, so this is a pointless exercise. There was never any chance of him ever becoming a legend, he was a waster. You don't need me telling you that, Walter Smith said the same thing.
Negri couldn't lace Ally's boots mate, nowhere near!
Most natural finisher or not, he should not even be mentioned in the same breath as Ally.
