I wouldn't play Helander. Agreed he has been good this season, but one error against the team he had a screaming nightmare against and his confidence will be shot. I would stick with Balogun. Have to say though, that's one pretty decent team that's been posted.

Helander has hardly put a foot wrong this season but i agree his worst game was against benfica over in Portugal. However i would still start him tonight, as for me although he does lack pace, usually his positioning sense and no nonsense, old school centre half defending, blood and snotters if you like are spot on. He's a good robust defender and terrific in the air. I do rate and like balogun also, but i'd start helander beside goldson tonight. All about opinions guys and we're all entitled to them👍.

Nunez is rapid and absolutely roasted helander for pace. Balogun for me for this match. let's go all out 2night and get the win. Get through the group then last 2 games is massive chance to play fringe players last 2 games. Paterson etc. he's not going to play in league so what a learning curve that would be for him rather than play cannon fodder early rounds on cup games.

Balogun for me tonight, Helander has been excellent apart from the benfica match but Baloguns pace could prove to be important against their quick forwards, I fancy 2-1 morelos and Kent with the goals.

Helander for me, give him a chance to make up for his mistakes in the away game. Balogun looked very ropey in the Aberdeen game and done himself no favours but who cares I'm happy with whoever the boss picks and confident in the team.
4-2 win and hopefully liege beat poznan for guaranteed qualification.

I though Balogun has been less steady in the last few games, caught out with a few high balls.

I would start Phil, yes he had a mare against Benfica but every player makes a mistake now and again - doesn't mean he has lost it.
