Just saw a report on the state of our pitch there. I thought it was my eyesight, but it did look as If it was cutting up again last night? If it gets into the state it did last season, do we think it will have an impact on our play?

Aye it's a quagmire again BMGHO1, little wonder with all this constant rain up here for days on end.

Mind you the real grass pitches further north look ok, is it our poor pitch layers or draining that's responsible again.

I don't know mate? Is our pitch not one of those hybrid ones now?
I remember years ago we used to have real issues with our pitch, but we sorted it out.

Think it’s been relaid twice in the last two years and yes it’s a hybrid.

I thought it was a hybrid KJA9.
Now, I might be imagining this, but was there not something about lack of sunshine getting to our pitch the way the stadium is designed and that was having an impact on the grass?
I'm no horticulturist, so I might be talking single fish (not for the first time), but I'm sure I read something on this years back?

Yes i believe there was something on that BMGH01 👍 If my memory serves me correctly, at that time did they not go and pay a fortune for the best/ most up to date mobile heat lamps 🤔.

They done something mate as the pitch was impeccable for a bit. For some reason, and it has been long term, we have struggled to have a pitch in pristine condition? Now, I know the weather is crap, however, some teams in Scotland don't seem to have an issue with their grass turf?

May have something to do with the actual pitch at ibrox, some people won’t know this but standing at the dugout at ibrox you cannot see the other touch lins a hill to the centre circle, then a major dip to the line, quite dramatic when you see it really.

Yes have seen it a few times Tomthumb12 👍 When doing the tour years ago the question was asked and the tour guide said that this was mainly to do with drainage mate.

The rain in the west of scotland won't help either, even walking on the grass in my garden is like mud and it has good drainage, all of the teams up north are on the east coast which is a lot drier then the west, maybe that has something to do with it?
